Why do we Follow?

After reviewing my content and those that read or apply for our newsletters or additional information a question arises that I feel has not been adequately addressed.
WHY DO WE FOLLOW?
What is the connection between published contents and the readers? What is the gravitational pull that keeps people interested. I the writer know why I am writing, or I would not be writing. What I don't know and have yet to confirm is, Are they interested and if they are interested; what is it that makes them continue coming to read more?

Honestly all I can do is search my life and find content from true life experiences that I feel are relevant to our lives and in doing so I hope by helping others I can help myself. That is the crux of why I do what I do. Half the time I am questioning is it enough to encourage people to spend money my way.
Is information truly that valuable to people?
I would like to believe that what is of value to me, will surely be of value to someone else, but I must always keep in mind that we are all very different when it comes to what we are willing to spend our money on. What is similar about us all that are entrepreneurs (Self-made people) is the need to hone value from our individuality and the stories behind them. So the question returns time and time again, "Why are people willing to listen to me?"
Sometimes I like to believe that if I knew why they "followed" then I would have the answer to why the wheel moves and because it is moving I don't need to concern myself with how fast or slow the process is, I am to be satisfied that it moves. I am in the business of promoting art and the stories behind them. Truly I desired to pool people to one website, increase contacts, broaden the network and encourage people to share the beautiful expressions that lay dormant inside each of us. Leading the way by sharing my tales. In this openness I had thought to instill the value of ordinary people in a world that is always looking for the next gimmick. I have developed a fundamental belief, after all of my travels, that no one is going to buy into anything that we are producing at the price we are looking for, but this does not mean what we produce has lost any value on anyone.
