Arrrggghhhh!
Hello everyone one,
I hope all is well as can be for you. That seems like a lot to ask considering what our lives have been like since December before last.
I am grateful to still be breathing and above ground. They say as long as you have that there is always hope.
I seem to have created my own little amusement park centered around hope, disappointment, bliss, and befuddlement.
The main attraction at my emotion based theme park for me is "The emotional rollercoaster".
Now I understand that letting your emotions master you is really not the path to centerdness, (sic? Yet here I find myself caught in the throes of victim stancing myself into hopelessness.
Poor me, poor me, NO pour....me a another drink. That also for many reasons not the least being health is not a good answer either, I recognize that.
Ok so what's really bothering me today? Having the "Upgrade" button stuck in my face every time I turn around.
I understand the massive benefits included with premium. I yearn for the access you get with premium. So believe me when I say maybe I don't.have to eat this week. Or geez I can go without propane for a couple weeks, I could always cut down on my daily Starbucks, (those went away a year ago). Or cut down on smoking cigarettes, those have been gone for years.
Maybe we will get another COVID check and I can invest in my future. Which by the way is promoting Wealthy Affilliate as a mainstay with other affiliate offers on the side .
I just cannot pay for premium right now and if you haven't noticed quite frankly it's embarrassing and frustrating me.
Enough from me. I'm sure I'm not the first to get sooo excited initially by the wonderful 1st 9 lessons only to find their selves excommunicated and blocked from even the last of the ten "free" lessons. But wait there's parts of this program where you can make .50-1.00 so why can't I do that to raise my upgrade fee? That's right you have to be a premium member.
Is my line of thinking as a "starter" that maybe, maybe, starters should already be at a premium? After all how could there be "Wealthy Affiliates" without "starters"!

Yes indeed. Personally I just bike trailered a s.u.v.battery about three miles to the exchange through the few inches of snow we had to get 5 bucks for propane.
I’ve been frozen for three days. Not tonight tho I’m pretty toasty. Just saying sometimes nineteen dollars might as well be a million. I will get there though cuz I really do want to help others in my position. Just got to keep pushing. Thank you for your input Jeff stay safe and prosper!!

Larry you remind me of me! I recycle when necessary too! There were a couple times early on in life when I was homeless! We all learn to adapt to our current circumstances or we perish! Well done!

Jeffrey we are kin. I do ALOT of recycling out of necessity. Fortunately for now we have a bottle bill. That’s my mainstay. However while collecting containers I also gather non-ferrous scrap .About every three to six months it’s off to the scrap yard.
I too was homeless..chronically. I suffered two personal devastations and quite frankly I cracked.
Thankfully three years ago I was rescued and although m not “housed” yet (I live in a travel trailer in my rescuers driveway. I build, repair, mow, pick up puppy doo, fix toilets, door frames, eyeglasses, she names it i do it.
Whenever I get real work i split that with her.
I was very ill the night she drove up where I was sleeping on frozen asphalt in wet and freezing clothes and sleeping bag and told me to put my things in her truck. I owe her my life!
So I know you understand the depth of gratitude I hold for her as well as a deep sense of obligation. I’m glad your stints at house less ness are in the past.
It’s really not a life for anyone.

No, Larry! you are to be admired! I could fill a book with my dumpster escapades and the tricks I discovered! I'm glad you were rescued and that you are honorable to your rescuer! I live each day at a time as I know you likely do as well!

Hey Larry I have read several times now that due to financial issues members cannot upgrade or continue their membership. If you could stand in front of the WA Executive team what recommendation would you put to them for you to continue to use the platform?
I would ask them to create a in house incentive driven fund for those that for whatever reason can not fork up the first couple months. May some of those that have worked their butts of for months and months or years could come up with some fivver (s.i.c) jobs some low tech person could do for them sorta like waxing their car, picking up the dog poop in their yard etc etc all hypothetical of course. With what is it “millions” of successful people here I’m convinced there is enough, understanding, empathy, and true capability to come up with a intermediate approach.
Heck I’m not so smart however I would be one of the first to volunteer my time and dedication to work with whomever else would want to “write this grant”. Strictly provisional of course. Not a charity.
Funny now that I have spewed all of that I’m a tad pale because it must’ve sounded like I wanted a handout. Not the case. I’m willing to fumble along as a starter until I can earn my way into the ranks like all of my predecessors have.
Yet now I hear this refrain distantly but steadily playing somewhere between either my ears... or my heart and brain, “We are constantly upgrading our program and are the beacon of the industry” Makes me wonder in the history of W.A. have they tried the community college approach here and it failed?
Or is that an area of disdain that I’m pretty sure I caught the faintest wife of around here somewhere?

You made me smile there Larry. I am going to post something just now that I have been thinking about and you have inspired me to do. Will post soon.
Starters are premium, in that they get access to everything for the first section of the training. When completed they have had as opportunity to decide if it is for you and then if it is you become a premium member to continue, or leave without being out of pocket.
Yes’ if they can. And they don’t complete they only get to lesson 9. Or maybe I’m just special so my training only goes to nine,
