I'm an accountant full time.

Nice, so when I need an accountant I know whom to ask:)

This is a part, part time job, while i'm in college.

You know back when I was 17 I used to make a full time income through squidoo. The sites we are building here at Wealthy affiliate are much more long term though.

Tell me more?

Hmmm well I'm an Economics major, so I work a part time job to pay for my schooling, and to pay for wealthy affiliate.

In the past while I was in a special high school (they put me through college at the same time, all thanks to some funding from Bill Gates) a rather brilliant teacher gave me the challenge to create some form of residual income.

I found wealthy affiliate and I used to make squidoo lens and promote them through ezines, this doesn't work as well anymore, and I never had the drive to break down and follow Kyle and Carson's teaching to create huge websites. Now I wish I had, as this is a much more long term strategy.

I'm slowly getting there though, I bet in a years time I'll have a pretty good income coming on in.

Hi - I'm fitting in coming on here between a full-time role, a lifestyle software as a service programmer, and full-time dad and husband - but I fully realise that only I can make the effort to change my circumstances - I will make this work (with the superb training available here, and the absolutely brilliant people that come on here and help newbies like me).

I need the safety blanket of a full-time job (which I know many don't have) - but I'm concentrating my spare time on building up my training and knowledge through WA, and I will be my own boss one day - that is definitely going to happen!

All the best, Mark

I know you will !

I want to do this full time. Being that I don't have a tech background I keep getting stuck on things that are probably easy for anyone else to get through. Love the creative aspect, frustrated with the learning curve that involves something I've never done.

I never done this too and have no tech background... but for sure will manage to get it:) thanks for the comment...Nenita

Just ask questions if you get stuck and you will find loads of people ready to help. There are a lot of non tech people around and like me with a small amount of 'man in the street' tech knowledge.

You can do this, you have all the help you can dream of and much more.

Lis.

Hi - I am technical - I've worked with websites for years - but this is different. I get stuck on the basics - which are 1) what is your niche (I have no idea yet) 2) how do you market (I have no idea yet) 3) how do you get an income from all this (I have no idea yet).

80/20 rule - I'm a "techie" (if you want my better half's description of what I do), but that is not what's important here. Knowing how to find a niche, and how to market it - is what brings business... the fact I know how to program computer games, or dashboards for management, or anything else - doesn't matter... it's finding something that you have an interest in, that you can post about - that's the 80%. The 20% which is the tech part - don't worry about that - it's not as important as you think (wish I'd realised that 20 years ago) - the tech stuff, post a question, we'll answer... people aren't interested in what jQuery/MVC/Angle/Ajax etc your website uses - they are interested in if you can give them information they are looking for.

Yes, it does help if your website looks good - but content is the bottom line. I'm colour blind - I wish I had an eye for how things really looked aesthetically to other people - I don't. Google looks at content - if that is good, you'll get ranked, you'll get visitors. If your content is not good... you know the rest.

So technical stuff - don't worry about - it's not important... what you put on your site is.

Post if you're stuck - I can help with techy stuff - I'll maybe need your help for the non-techy stuff though!!

Cheers, Mark

Nothing is easy my friend but here at WA you are in safe hands!!
If I can help, just ask!

To your success!
Bernie!

I'm not worried about providing good content. I've been a writer for twenty plus years, worked at newspapers.....If anyone would like to look at my site aspaforeveryone.com and let me know what you think I would love it. I want to put a WA affiliate link in there somewhere but don't know how. I obviously want to start making money sometime soon even if it's a dollar.

@tntgoodrich, Hi I have taken a look at your site and feel that if you are wanting to promote WA, you will need to create a different site for it, as your present site and WA are two different subjects. Trying to fit WA into your present site would not make sense, to me anyway.

Hope you do not mind the comment.

Wishing you all the best.

Lis.

Full time. Not a job, not a hobby. I retired from corporate America and started this new career.

Good on you! If I can help just ask!
To your success!
Bernie

:) Hey, I think everyone here is here for a reason. Part time or full time does not matter. What matters is we are working to fulfill our dreams or goals. LOL is this work? I am having fun. Just my thoughts on the subject. I just want to enjoy what I am doing.

I'm also having fun in here:)

Have been making a full time income online as of 2005

No wonder you're that good Leo:)

At the moment, this is my only job. Although 'job' usually implies 'income'. Hopefully, one day ... Jackie x
