Planting Raspberries, Hoping For Pavlova
Planting Raspberries, Hoping For Pavlova
There is a saying about gardeners always feeling hopeful...
To plant a garden is to be hopeful
Or words to that effect.
This week, one of my tasks was to plant raspberry canes and as I was doing so this saying came to mind.
Gardeners are ever optimistic. We sow seeds in the hopes that they germinate. We then nurture and care for tiny seedlings hoping that they grow into healthy plants that can go out into the garden.
We then live in hope that they thrive and survive to bloom into wonderful, colourful flowers or that they bear fruit.
Whilst I planted the raspberries, I dreamt of summer raspberry pavlova, bursting with delicious fruits and swamped in lashings of cream.
You see, I trust in my plant knowledge, ideal weather, perfect nutrition, perfect timing and that I get to the fruit before the birds do.
Our online business is the same...here at WA we are hopeful that we have done the right thing. We trust in ourselves, the system, the training, the guidance and the help of others more experienced than ourselves. We are hopeful that the seeds we sow bear fruit.
Are Goals, Achievable Goals?
My goal in planting raspberries is simply to enjoy the anticipated pavlova. I know it is going to take time, effort and knowledge to reap this reward.
At WA it takes time, effort and knowledge to reap the rewards, but they do come.
My rewards thus far are numerable:
My first website is gaining more and more traffic, I have sales from Amazon and from my affiliates. In fact my website is now turning a healthy profit.
I have been invited to write a book review which is due to be published and shared on Monday.
The website has been listed on various referral websites and entered for a “Best of Blogs” weekly award.
My other websites are gaining traction too and continue to excite and motivate.
My goals are achievable and therefore they work to my benefit.
Are you Planting Bamboo in the Hope of Pandas?
Yes...my mind goes off on some weird tangents when I am gardening.
I will leave you to imagine just how much effort, time, resources, finance etc etc, you would need to input in order to get pandas in the garden. Unless you’re in China, this goal is far beyond reasonable.
Continue to learn, question, network, work, write content, train, learn some more to achieve Your goals.
I hope you enjoy your own version of delicious pavlovas this summer.
Reap the rewards of the seeds you sow, knowing that the training and work you do now will pay dividends in the future. As we all try to reiterate, WA is not a get rich quick scheme but it certainly does work when you follow the training and work towards your achievable goals.
Stay well and best Wishes
Louise
