Coming to a Dead End

I visited what will be my new home at the weekend, I took a good friend along with me as, so far, only I had seen this house and I wanted input and inspiration from another pair of eyes.

There has been some storm damage to the fence that surrounds the small garden...so my lawyer needs to contact the vendor to get it repaired/replaced.

It seems at the moment that life is in limbo and I am eager to move on, but the sale will complete all in good time.

My friend and I decided to take a walk around the area because even though I know the town fairly well, I don’t know so much of the area immediately around where the house is.

We went off down the road, turned corners, followed a lane and ended up at dead ends, so retraced our steps to find another way. Only to find ourselves on a one way street , ending in a second dead end...no way out.

We enjoyed ourselves though because we discovered a park, a small wooded area and public gardens, a small stream running by some lovely neighbouring houses and chatted to a few locals.

Also a very good cafe where we stopped for coffee and delicious homemade cakes.

After this small indulgence we went back to the main road and eventually found our way to the lane where my new house is situated.

Do you find that we do the same here at WA and with our online business?

Do you sometimes follow the wrong path and find yourself with no way out of a tricky situation?

We have choices to make and we don’t always make the right one.

We tend to follow the rules for a while but then get a little side tracked and go wandering off, away from our goals and vision. When we realise our mistakes we find our way back and start again. By trying different ways and methods we do discover many good tips, advice and help from others, so for me, these short journeys always bring something to the table for me to use and learn from.

I believe it is good to experiment and to experience as much as possible and in time we achieve our success. This knowledge can always be re-visited and used to our advantage.

The ensuing success and further knowledge can then be shared with others in order to help them too.

The park and woodland we discovered will be visited again when we have the dogs with us.

The cafe we found en-route will definitely be a regular haunt.

So folks, take the winding roads and footpaths, and make discoveries, yes you may come to a dead end occasionally but make note of the experience, Log it for future reference and then get back on track.

Best Wishes to you all

Louise

"Sometimes in life, we have to take a detour but it serves to remind us that our original path is the right one."

That said, I am a firm believer that there is always something useful to be taken from most anything. Even if it's just 5%. That's 5 more than you had before.

Exactly...
More discoveries and lessons are always around every corner.
Enjoy your week.

You too.

Great post Lou.

Thanks Fiona

Hi Louise, sounds like a nice place.

Yes, I often make a wrong decision here at WA and with life too. What is good is these become learning experiences, and the fact that I have the choice of taking that dead end road, or finding an alternate route to get to my destination is up to me. I can stop and always ask for directions too. This is a great community that is always willing to help.

Best wishes,
Michael

Hello Michael, it does seem a nice place, can’t wait to settle in.
Both there and here on WA are great communities, I enjoy exploring both.

I love going for walks in new places. Wifey and I will take a drive, get out and explore. It's one of our pass times that we both enjoy very much. Seeing new things and places, such an adventure with ever step. And you are right, WA is a lot like that. Thanks for the post.

Greg

Thank you Greg, I hope you enjoy many more exciting walks and discoveries.
Louise

It's all part of the adventure and the journey. Sounds like you had a wonderful time exploring. Best wishes with the new house! Christine
