Should I Quit My Job?

What's going on WA family. I've been getting this feeling more and more in my gut that I should quit my job and find some part-time work to attack this affiliate marketing dream.

I currently work about 50 hours a week and burn so much oil trying to do this outside of work. For example... It's 2:30am as I write this and I have to be up a 7:30am to go to work.. Tomorrow night I'll likely have to crash but I HAD to get my first income report out.

I don't have kids or any major expenses and my standard of living is pretty low.. What do you think?

Should I save some money and then bet on myself? Or just go ahead and find some part-time work that will get me by so I have more time to make this dream happen... I feel like I already know the answer I'd just like to hear some other people's opinions.

My opinion is a little biased right now.

Thanks

I agree. If you can afford to reduce your hours then go for it. But as wise men say you should you should pursue multiple streams of income. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Hopefully you will get to where this will be all you need and more.

Considering this is your dream, I think you should do whatever it takes to prioritize your time to pursue it. However, don't compromise too much your finances.

working 50 hrs per week is not prioritizing your business. Not only you are missing valuable hours, but you are also compromising the rest of your time because your energy is drained at the end of the day.

If you can live with fewer hours, then don't hesitate. I was working 40hr and when I started making at least $200/month, I reduced to 30-35 hrs/week.
So, I have 5-10 hours more to work on my business, plus I am not so tired because the shifts are shorter.

I know some people decide to quit their job and just work on their businesses before making a single sale. I don't recommend you do that because you will put a lot of pressure on yourself. You need some security before jumping with both feet.

This is amazing feedback and incredibly reassuring. I was something similar to what you said here, working up to hopefully $200-250 per month and then scaling back.

It's just rough becuse every morning I wake up with this feeling that I'm doing something wrong because I know I'm headed to work and know that it's probably the wrong move.

Thank you for the input man.

You're welcome. You know, some people even move to another cheap country. If I was single, I would be in eastern Europe or Asia by now, where one can live with much less.

Yes. The dilemma is real. If I was single I might take off as well.. My gf is studying to become a yoga teacher. In a couple of years though, who knows! Maybe we'll start a new adventure and see the world like you have. Only more motivation to make this online income a real thing.
