Is Everyone A Niche Expert?

Hi WA fam,

I created a personal blog that I don't consider to really be a niche site.. I talk about books, real estate, and other stuff on there.

The next logical step I think is for me to create a true niche website. One that is highly focused and aimed at more a specific target audience.

As I'm brainstorming ideas, I realize there isn't much else I know. I've mostly been trapped in a cubicle my whole life and I'm not interested in starting a niche on "the best practices for using excel."

Is everyone an expert in their niche? Does anybody have strategies for writing in niche areas where they are not experts? Is it even possible to be successful doing so?

Thank you! -Kyle

Having a niche website does not make one an expert. It is always advice you like your niche! Why ? So that give it what it takes to become an expert.

You will have to go extral miles to learn and be a guru in your niche. As you learn from this platform you will soon become an expert in your niche only if you are ready to pay the price to learn to know all about your chosen niche.

That's what I was getting at.. Not "does making you a niche site make you an expert," but "do you need to be an expert to create a successful niche website."

I feel like if you aren't at least partially an expert in your niche, it would be incredibly difficult to be successful. I'm probably wrong though.

You don't need to be an expert to be successful. It depends on your source. i.e. If you are learning from an expert you can easily be mistaken to be an expert with the level of your success!

Founder Kyle and others have posted many niche ideas. Just go to the white magnifying glass area at the top of your screen and type in niche and prepare to get countless ideas!

Man.. You're right!

Instead of focusing on the "what-ifs" I just need to DO.

I'm overthinking this to death.

It's hard for me to shake the negative thoughts and self-doubt... My faith in this (not WA but my own ability) goes in and out.

I appreciate the quick thought and your optimism! Thank you!
