The POWER of Consistency In Your Business. (Don't Make This Mistake)
Hey Everyone,
Today, I want to discuss the power of consistency in your business and the importance of establishing strong habits early on. These habits are crucial because they lead to productivity, which in turn creates opportunity.
Key Takeaways:
- Consistency Is Key:
- I had someone reach out today asking why they weren't successful six months in, despite having only posted seven or eight articles. The reality is, inconsistency leads to failure—especially if your strategy is based on SEO (search engine optimization). Posting once every three weeks won’t cut it if you’re trying to rank in search engines.
- Develop a Regular Workflow:
- Whether you’re using the AI designer, the AI author platform, or bulk writing tools available here at Wealthy Affiliate, there’s no excuse not to be publishing at least 8-10 posts per month. That breaks down to about two to three posts a week. The more content you create, the more opportunities you have to bring in traffic and rank in search engines.
- Daily Habits = Long-Term Success:
- You need to create daily habits where you're consistently working on your business. It doesn’t have to be an 8-hour workday, but a consistent effort is critical. Whether you’re writing blog posts or creating YouTube videos, consistency in your output is what drives results. If you’re only posting a YouTube video once a month, you can’t expect much in return.
- Adapt to Your Schedule:
- Everyone has different schedules, and that’s okay. The key is to work around your schedule and build habits where you’re regularly producing and being productive in your business. That consistency is what’s going to move the needle.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic. Do you feel you're being consistent in your business? What are your habits like? Share your experiences and how you integrate consistency into your workflow.:)

Great advice and motivation Kyle!
I find myself consistently inconsistent unfortunately... but that is mainly during the summer months when it's either too hot to do anything or I'm on vacation!
I have a plan from now until the end of the year and I intend to stick to it!
Wish me luck my friend and enjoy a wonderful week! :-)
Haha, consistently inconsistent. That makes my mind spin!
Awesome to hear you are putting a gameplan in place Nick, stick with that and you are going to see results!
Hi KYLE,
Thank you for your informative article. I am having a challenge with site support because I cannot write a message to them. I need to have my old account/website restored. i resubscribed but unfortunately, a new account was created instead of a restoration of the old account. I am trying to communicate with site support but have difficulties. Can the site support get in touch with me
Hi Andrew,

Hi Kyle:
Well said! I haven't reaped the full benefits of being consistent due to constant job-related commitments. However, it's my goal to get to the point where that's no longer a issue.
What you've outlined is the key to having the outcome required in this business. Whatever little time some of may have, consistency and quality content is key.

Hi Kyle, Yes, the truth about the hard work needed to really lay a solid foundation. I've been working almost every single day on my 4 sites since the beginning of the year, and I am getting big increases in visitors and curiousity.
Just to give other people an idea of what that means in real terms, I've written almost 400 posts and received 800 comments in about eight months. In other words, I've followed the website health monitor colour scheme - always keeping the sites in the green! This has been an incredible learning curve, and I must say that my content creation skills and abilities have been optimized! It's exhilarating to keep going every single day.
I write/create 12 posts every weekend and during the week if I get an idea I'll repurpose it among my sites and my SM platforms. So this had led to clear cluster patterns/categories on my websites, giving each site a good structure.
On top of that of course, is the product additions and setting up with affiliate organisations. So, it's not a sprint and not for the faint-hearted! But by the gods, you find out who you are and where you limits are!!
I'm moving towards authority sites so perhaps on the heavy side of the game, but nevertheless, this creation fitness is a must if you're going to remain resilient and stay the course. Only those who build this strong foundation make the top revenue: I know that!! And that's what my missiles are locked on to! 🚀
.......Sorry, I was cut off in my prime!
I just wanted to add that I'm fortunate because I spend all my days on my businesses—I'm retired from traditional work!! So, keeping up consistent creation is much more challenging if you have limited time available.
However, the bulk writing feature has helped me meet my targets. It's brilliant. So, it's more a question of the scheme of ideas you want to write on. I believe Google really likes these clustered posts, as they call them.
In the end, it's about good organisation to enable the smooth flow of work. Factor in things going wrong technically, etc., but I've learned to view those problem-solving tasks that interrupt the flow as education time! There's always something to be learned!
*** Let your river flow wide and deep: don't be a trickle that soon disappears underground!****
My businesses are a seminal part of my life, not separate!!
What you are doing, your workflow, the quantity of content you create and results are just astonishing! 12 Post over a weekend, man! I also dedicate my weekends to content creation but 12 posts! Just well done!
I think it's important to balance consistent posting with high quality posting as well. There's no point posting three low quality articles a week just to get three articles out there. For me surely it's better to post one really high quality article a week rather than many poor articles.
But I do agree that stopping sporadic posting is key as well and something I need to stop doing. Probably could do with saying to myself for example "I'll post two posts a week, one on Tuesday and one on Friday". I see a lot of Youtuber's do things like that and I think it really helps, but I think Google and other search engines will recognise that consistency as well.
Hi Kyle
Thank you for the motivation, I'm inspired to keep pushing. Yes consistency key.
I've been consistent in my posting, since i joined in June i have 53 posts and 35 as per VA indexed posts and as per google there are more, but my concern is even though i post daily and share to Twitter and Facebook for now, my traffic is not picking up, I've optimized each post well, I'd like to think my content is helpful and is what skincare and beauty enthusiasts are looking for but I'm scratching my head. What am i doing wrong?
I believe it will pick up, at the moment I'm moving slow like a turtle with traffic/views, engagement, clicks etc.
Is it consistent quantity or simply the total amount though? I mean does it matter if I produce 10 posts per month by doing 1 article in week 1, 3 articles in week 2, 4 articles in week 3 and 2 articles in week 4 or does it really need to be at least 2 articles per week? If it really should be the same amount every week, why?
ChatGPT gave me this answer if anyone else is interested:
When it comes to content creation for SEO or any business, consistency is crucial, but it doesn't necessarily have to mean producing the exact same number of articles each week. Both consistent quantity and total output matter, but consistency has specific benefits, particularly when spread out over time.
Key Points:
Consistency in Scheduling:
Search engines, particularly Google, favor websites that show regular, fresh content updates. Regular posting signals to search engines that the website is active and relevant. Posting content too sporadically, even if the total monthly output is high, may not yield the same SEO benefits.
Consistent weekly posting, such as 2-3 times a week, helps your site maintain steady engagement with users and search engines. Regularity ensures better indexing, improved crawling, and potentially better rankings.
Audience Expectation:
Regular posting helps build a routine for your audience. If readers expect new content on certain days or weeks, they're more likely to return. Inconsistent posting can reduce audience retention and trust.
Content Creation Workflow:
While posting 10 articles a month is great, spreading that workload out can help with burnout and ensure that content quality remains high. If you rush to publish four posts in a single week and then none the next, you might compromise on the content's depth or engagement value.
Algorithm Benefits:
Google's algorithms favor sites that update their content consistently. Posting regularly, rather than in bursts, ensures that the algorithm recognizes your site's active presence and reliability over time.
Why Stick to a Consistent Schedule?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Consistency in content creation improves SEO because search engines tend to favor sites with regularly updated content.
Engagement: A regular schedule keeps your audience engaged and looking forward to your posts.
Avoiding Burnout: Spreading your content creation over time ensures you can maintain quality without overwhelming yourself.
In summary, while the total monthly output is important, maintaining a regular and consistent posting schedule—such as 2-3 posts a week—provides long-term benefits for SEO, audience retention, and content quality.
Thanks, Kyle. Lately, I have been discouraged by the lack of traffic after just over a year of building out my website. Although I feel I have accomplished a good number of posts, thank you for the reminder of consistency. I think it's time to restructure and reschedule my weekly output.
Good morning Kyle,
Thank you for your video post, it's appreciated.
I believe that the power of consistency is one of the most powerful things that we can do to be successful online. I must admit this is something that I have lacked, mainly because of having an off-line business that can be quite seasonal and have very busy periods.
Over the years, I have followed many successful Internet marketers. I really see consistency as the key to being successful. I really need to take advantage of scheduled blog posts and YouTube videos, as this can help to increase consistency, which I do often use, but need to use more.
When I look at successful people like Roope and similar members on the platform, I can see that consistency is key again and again. I remember when Roope said that he was going to post daily on his YouTube channel; that was when his channel skyrocketed. It now has 270K followers, which is amazing! But it really proves the point and power of consistency.
I'm hoping to sell my offline business very soon so that I can move into the online world full-time. I believe with the extra time I could quickly increase my online presence.
Thank you for a really great video, Kyle, I really think that that will help many members see the power of consistency.
Have a fantastic day.
Roy

I work very hard to be consistent. There are times, of course, when I absolutely have to skip something in my schedule. But that is when I will skip writing a WA post. I prioritize and post consistently for my businesses and my Kindle Vella stories. This week I got a bit behind but I have been working on catching up. Life gets in the way sometimes, but it is all about balance. What I am doing seems to be working so I'm not going to complain (too much!).
Thanks for the motivation and my granddaughter really wants me to earn the trip to Vegas so she can come with me!
LOL. I am working on it. Going to start adding in some Youtube videos next week!
Karin
Of course, and don't feel bad about having to skip something because your schedule is busy. That is fine, and the luxury of running an online business is that you have this flexibility.
And if you have a slow week, don't look back at that and worry. Simply plan your next week ahead, with the tasks that you need to focus on. Can't dwell about slower weeks. :)
And yes, we would love to have you down in Vegas one of these days. If you ever need a hand with your campaigns, just reach out. :)
Thanks, Kyle. I may be reaching out for some help.
Karin 😎
