I want to involve you into a case study that I am running, one where I will be providing full insight and feedback. It is a case study of that will exemplify the "power of crowds". The idea of it is that the more the people do something (in this case, comment on my facebook ad), the more people it encourages to comment.

There is something captivating about how we, as humans are drawn toward the popular, the engaged, and the current buzz. It's this principle that I want to explore in my real-time experiment with Facebook Ads. And the best part?

Facebook Ads remain a go-to for many businesses because of its wide reach and advanced audience targeting capabilities. It always you to hyper target particular groups of people, but unlike advertising in say Google, your ads will typically be "pattern interrupts", meaning that people aren't explicitly searching for and finding you. Instead you are simply in the way.

My experiment has one primary aim - to measure the difference between engagements and results from two contrasting iterations of SAME post.

But I need your help. I am going to get you to help me prop up the engagement within the post...so I can see how the impact of having 10 comments will be, versus 50 or more in terms of click-throughs, and conversions.

Why should this matter to you? This could be a big step in understanding the impact of engagement on ad performance and the intricacies of it's impact on social media ads.

And all it requires to get started is a single comment...from YOU!

The Initial Steps of My Facebook Ads "Crowd Effect" Test.

Ever wondered how significantly user engagement affects ad performance on Facebook? Let's find out, but first lets look at the original ad I ran.

As of me writing this, the post currently has 10 comments, and 15 likes. It is a "boosted" post and it is linking

And here are some performance stats of the first ad run, where I spent $210 (rounding up to the $).

I got 184 clicks, and 196 total engagements, not bad, but I got close to 200 readers on my article, averaging around $1 per click.

And here are some additional "Post Insights", that I just want to document for a full comparison.

Now what I want you to do is important.

Your Task #1: I want you to jump into my post about the "online coaching scams" and leave a comment. If need be, read the blog post first so you can appreciate and understand exactly what I am discussing.

==> Leave a Comment on my Facebook Post Here.

When you get there, leave me a comment. Make sure it ties directly into the conversation that's happening. Be relevant, be engaging. I will be responding to each and every one of these.

Your Task #2: Leave a reaction. You can leave a like, mad face, tears, etc...whatever you like, but please leave a reaction.

Your Task #3: Don't share it. It's not really a task to not do anything, but I am likely going to run a "share" test in my next iteration of this case study.

Next up - I'll rerun the ad and we'll investigate how the conversation's complexion changes based on a larger "crowd" of comments. Does a dialogue-rich environment attract more activity, or does it discourage fresh voices from chiming in? Does it just pause or speed up the engagement frequency?

All interesting questions, that will be answered within this case study.

Same post, two engagement levels, one objective - let's crack some of the mysteries of the "crowd effect"....with your help. ;)

Yeah, I am guessing it is going to be higher engagement, reach, and click-throughs, but online time will tell. Not to worry, I will keep you updated. ;)

I think that the outcome will be obvious, the more engagement, the better the outcome ;-)

Yeah, all signs point in that direction. We need PROOF of this though lol.

Haha, should be a fun and insightful one. We have the first round of "pre WA provided engagement", and I will report back with another post when this has been completed.
