Hey Everyone,

Today I want to get into some behind-the-scenes updates, walk you through what’s new, and talk about where we are heading next as a platform and community.

Today’s focus is on something a bit lighter… but also a big deal: the FUNIFICATION of Wealthy Affiliate. (Yes, I made up that word, but it fits lol.)

Let’s talk about making Wealthy Affiliate more fun, more interactive, and why that is so important for our growth as a platform and as entrepreneurs.

First, Today’s Beer: Michelob Ultra

I’m branching out this week with something a little different, a Michelob Ultra.

Not something I would normally choose, but let’s roll with it. It fits today’s light-hearted theme.

Why We're Making WA More Fun

There is a very real reason behind this funification direction.

We want to make this platform:

• More interactive
• More welcoming
• More social
• And… just more enjoyable to use daily

Of course, we are still laser-focused on helping you build a successful business online. Fun however will drive engagement, and engagement drives growth, creativity, and results.

We are layering in some features you have been requesting for years...and now they are live.

Chat Just Got an Upgrade 🚀

Inside Live Chat and Comments, you can now:

• ✅ Upload files (great for showing problems or sharing examples)
• ✅ Add emojis 🙌
• ✅ Use GIFs (or is it JIFs?)
• ✅ React with stickers

This makes conversations more expressive and helpful.

There are a few small mobile bugs with image previews and search bar inputs, but we are working through those fast. The early results? Chat has never been more active or fun.

Comments = Now With Reactions Too

This same functionality (emojis, GIFs, stickers) is now live in comments throughout the platform, making feedback, collaboration, and conversations much more dynamic.

It is more than just a cosmetic upgrade—it encourages community engagement and deeper interaction across the board.

Points, Leaderboards & Earning While You Learn 💰

Now let’s talk about gamification, because that is a big part of this new evolution.

Here is how it works:

• Every time you participate (blog, comment, help, ask, create), you earn points
• Points = real value. Yes, cash value
• You can see your 30-day score on your dashboard and in the Leaderboard section
• Points reset every 30 days, so everyone has a fair shot, whether you joined 10 years ago or 10 minutes ago

I’ve earned $152 so far this month (as of June 13), just through my own community activity.

Why We Built This System

We wanted to rebuild the old Ambassadorship system into something:

• More transparent
• More fair
• More aligned with current community engagement
• And with real benefits for active users

This isn’t designed to replace your income, but for many, it will offset the cost of membership or even put you in the green month after month.

And this is just the start. Over time:

• The community reward pool will grow
• More creator tools will be added
• New communities (like ChatGPT, AI Video, etc.) will emerge as niches expand
• You will have more ways to earn from both inside and outside your business
