AI Is Creating Jobs FASTER Than It Is Replacing Them.
Every week there is another headline about jobs disappearing because of AI.
It is enough to make people feel uneasy, and in many cases from what I am seeing, getting VERY defensive. But there is a quieter shift happening at the same time, and it is going in the opposite direction.
AI is not struggling to be built anymore. It is struggling to be used. That is the gap where the real opportunity sits.
Most businesses already have access to powerful AI tools. What they do not have is clarity on how to use them. For example, what problems AI should be solving for their business, or how to trust the output enough to rely on it day to day.
So the tools sit there under-utilized...and the teams drift back to doing things the OLD, slow and archaic way.
This is a human problem...it has little to do with the technology itself.
People who can bridge that gap, who can take real-world problems and apply AI in a practical, grounded way, are becoming far more valuable than people who can simply explain how AI technology works.
The Opportunity MOST People Are Missing...
A lot of people think the path forward is learning to code or becoming an AI engineer. For a small group, that makes sense. For most, it doesn't make any sense at all.
The bigger opportunity is not in building AI. It is in translating it for the layperson.
That means understanding what people are already doing, spotting friction, and then showing them how AI can make that work faster, cleaner, or more effective. When you can do that, the technology almost disappears into the background. What people notice is the RESULT.
This is why we are seeing so much demand for roles that sit between the technology and the business. The value is not in complexity. The value is in usefulness.
Why This Should Matter to YOU Right Now?
We are in a moment where ideas matter more than skill alone. AI has levelled the execution side of things. What separates people now is not how fast they can type or how technical they are, but how clearly they can think.
If you can see a problem clearly, AI can help you solve it faster than ever before. But without your proper direction, AI just creates a bunch of noise (and can compound the problem).
This is why so many people feel overwhelmed. They are surrounded by tools that are everywhere, but lack structure.
Irrespective of your niche you are in, there are problems that people are having within that niche. AI can not only help people solve those problems, but it can help you facilitate that process through your knowledge of AI combined with your passion for helping people in that industry.

As time goes on, bigger problems are going to get solved, and more and more people are going to reap the benefits (and revenue) from helping solve these problems.
AI is NOT replacing people who think clearly. It is replacing confusion, friction, and slow execution.
The opportunity is very real, but it belongs to those who stop asking “How does this work?” and start asking “Where does this fit?”

I took a snapshot from the argument I had last week with an Ai... where 'thinking clearly' is defined a bit clearer than you have stated it in this blog, while at the same time the AI says WA nailed this with their tools - obviously folks use these tools in different ways [!]

or it could be a good example of needing to question the output and getting Ai to refine itself when it thought you had accidentally achieved that too... before it goes at warp speed to develop on that point, as it had with others related to you that I got it to correct in the past!!
So true, I have been playing with AI and coming back and forth with my subscription. What really made the point home was that I left only a year ago and was always bogged down by all the writing and editing to get my website started. I decided to try again and compared many programs and found myself back here and I can't believe how using AI is making this experience so less stressful. I'm on the side of the more i use AI to help me the more I love it but to many think that it is a tool that is against humanity and will take jobs away instead of seeing the potential of lessening the workload, saving time and problem solving are becoming so much better!
Yeah, there were many things that we were all getting bogged down with in business, from writing, to spending lots of time creating "creatives", to support, to communication, to dealing with all the admin side of things.
As many aspects have gotten more efficient, we can focus on the things that matter to us and excite us. We can solve bigger problems. We can help more people. And we can create things that we could have formerly only dreamed up.
I think that the people that don't like it, have either never used it or tried it 'once' when it first came out and it was in it's very infancy stages. Lots has changed since then, and I hope many don't overlook the real power that AI can bring to their lives.
This is so true and has been down the years when a new, BIG, development enters life and business.
To go back to 2 of the obvious, there was such opposition and in some cases, civil unrest in response to the Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions. In both cases, the fear was over a loss of jobs.
Of course, that was unfounded and will be in this case too.

There has been all sorts of opposition, and it is out of fear. People fear losing their jobs, and it will lead to job loss and certain crafts becoming obsolete. But in saying that, it will help people become WAY more efficient and useful in their existing roles, and much more valuable. It may free up a lot of time so they don't even have to work as hard.
And of course, as with past revolutions, there are going to be all sorts of new opportunities that form and entire segments that are created. That is where I am mostly focused, and what I am truly excited about.
I agree, much to be excited about. We just need to embrace the technology and find ways to utilise it to help us directly but also to help others.
Yeah, and always keep the eye on the prize...PROBLEMS! As long as there are problems, there are going to be opportunities and we ware going to be able to solve these problems with more efficiency than ever. ;)

It's amazing how the news agencies just report the gloom, rather than the true story!
I remember when I was at school, we were told that we wouldn't be working after 40, or something like that, as technology would have taken over. However, most people are working harder than ever and we will always have the unemployable people.

Yeah, there is so much gloom out there. It is all hypothetical, and though I am seeing some attrition in certain jobs, I am seeing all sorts of opportunities opening out. Where there is ANY problem, there are now people building solutions faster than ever, and building companies around this.
We are more capable now. We can "create", and we can all become creators now. This is going to create all sorts of new ecosystems, and I find that really exciting as well.

I am thinking of launching my self as a private AI consultant/advocate. with my experience and understanding growing with how to use it effectively I have managed to challenge authorities from 0 funded care for my daughter who has MS due to a Government Belt Tightening!!!! To Challenging them and her care team to successfully hererecieving a 70k package which many of folks here in NZ are being rejected and or cut back.
Currently working with an elderly family friend with Parkinsons whom is being written off, and OMG it is a friggen eye opener in the neglect that these people receiving in term sof diligent care and neglect.

What you did for your daughter is not about AI being clever. AI simply helped you organize facts, frame arguments, anticipate objections, and push back in a system that often relies on people being overwhelmed or under-informed. That is real-world impact, and a $70k outcome speaks for itself!
We are using it for all sorts of business applications, including streamlining things like taxes, communications with official entities, programming...basically it is touching on everything we are doing. T
The same applies to what you are seeing with Parkinson’s care. These systems are stretched, bureaucratic, and often default to “good enough” unless someone advocates clearly and relentlessly. AI does not replace empathy or care, but it absolutely strengthens the voice of someone who is willing to stand up and say, “This is not acceptable.”
Launching yourself as a private AI consultant or advocate really does make a lot of sense, especially with lived experience like this. You are not selling tools. You are helping people navigate broken systems, ask better questions, and stop being dismissed. That is REAL value.
This is exactly the kind of role that sits between AI and real life. Translating complexity into outcomes that actually help people. The opportunity is very real, and you are already doing the work.

AI is an awesome assistant! For example, today I decided to give TikTok a try. I have been thinking about it for several months, but a post today by TheAmazingMG struck a tone with me. So I went off to ChatGPT and shared my vision for my TikTok page and asked for assistance.
TikTok is not Facebook, so it has to be handled differently. My ChatGPT partner laid out a plan, and once we had a back and forth conversation, including my first video text, I am off and running.
AI backed up my thoughts and added clarity to the process making entering the TikTok world very easy. I look forward to reporting the results!
Awesome, that is great Howard. That is the thing, AI can really help with game plans, and then it is up to you to implement those plans either for yourself, or for someone else. That is the big gap where people/businesses need help and the gap where there is going to be lots of opportunity moving forward.
