Protecting WP sites from hackers

Hi Folks!

I don't know how long I can stay on here for as my internet is continually dropping out, but I wanted to share something that came in my emails this morning. If I can't get back straight away to reply to your messages, you'll know why. Rest assured I will answer as soon as I can get back on again :)

I am subscribed to a really nice lady internet marketer in the UK's list, her name is Sarah Starr. She often shares really helpful information regarding things that she has found helpful with her marketing setup and I honestly trust her implicitly. I haven't tried this product myself just yet, but I am seriously considering it.

I hope that it is ok to share this link that she included in her email to a product that she strongly recommends for protecting WP sites from malicious hackers, of which she has fallen victim to personally with her WP sites.

There are so many people out there wishing to cause websites harm, and it's hard to know where to turn to protect yourself. She recommends this product called "Blog Defender" here is the link. http://blogdefender.com/?aid=33844

Do watch the video on the page link as it's an eye opener just how much information about your blog is visible to hackers who can use it against you. I personally had no idea! This product is about $47.95US, but I guess compared to the time, nausea, and inconvenience of downtime with your site, this is a small price to pay.

Of course, if anyone knows about any other programs that are useful for protecting our sites, please share if possible, because it seems like it's only a matter of time before these hackers get to your site :(

PS. I don't get any monetary kick backs from this link, I am sharing purely for the sake of helping others :)

Cheers,

Lynette

I would not have know either, Kyirrie and was a victim of malware today. Trying to see how to protect myself in the future!

I'm really sorry guys, I didn't know, I just thought that things like this in general may be useful to know about, as I had no idea about how much damage could be done to people's sites by hackers. When you put all the effort that one does into a site you want to know that it's safe. I would really like to know how we are to keep our sites safe from these malicious attacks. This is all new to me. Again, I'm sorry.

Even if your intentions were pure, we can't post links like that.

This is out - and out 'spamming' Lynette -- Why would you do that here?
