WA sure has set me back!
When I joined the free program, I thought I had a pretty good idea what I was going to do online and how I was going to do it. Then, as I was reading the training, I realized that I was totally wrong. If I had gone through with my planned online strategy, I would have failed miserably. My strategies might have worked pre-panda and pre-penguin, which was when I learned them, but not now. I have basically spent the last month frantically unlearning and relearning how to promote myself online. I've literally been in a panic over this. I haven't done much actual work, since I've been trying to figure everything out. But, now I think I can get busy in that department.
So, I'd like to thank Kyle, Jay, PPG, nathaniell, Carson, wendyk, and many others for setting me back...
...and putting me on a much better path.

But don't get discouraged, the ideas will come to you till then Kyle has great training that will teach you where to find more. Check out his bootcamp training if you haven't already. I had to rethink a few ideas myself, but I get great satisfaction when I finish an article. No matter how long it takes me. Content isn't my best skill.
Nice post and a great reminder for other people that one needs to keep up to date because IM is an ever changing environment and not keeping up with what's happening can be costly.
Some things seem to endure: well-written original content for *visitors* and links on other sites that people follow. Article marketing, on the other hand, seems to have changed completely. I was counting on using other people's articles (in a good, ethical, but innovative way) and getting my articles my articles out there. The amount of writing I'll have to do went way up.
