I have joined the Webgains affiliate programme but it needs me to verify my website by inserting a meta tag to my site's homepage. How do I do this? Thank you

if the verification needs to stay in your header then definitely don't add it to your theme - once you update it the code will disappear - make achild theme if you want ot go this way
or save that hassle by following the training for verification ogf google good luck
phil

Hi, I was just wondering if you got your website verified? I have also joined Webgains and despite following instructions I cannot get it to verify.

TIA Michelle

What do you mean by verified. You mean indexed on google?

Hi everyone, I needed to know the same thing and was amazed that a google search brought up exactly this thread! I had to request access to the theme editing end because it was locked by default, but I asked the question of the site support and it was unlocked within minutes. What service! Cspreiter's instructions are spot on, although I included the meta tag in my support question and they even added it for me. Thanks so much.

Thank you for asking this question, Karen.
Some answers were helpful!

Hope now Pinerest will verify my website.
Aloha, Jenna

In Google Search Console pooch-e.com shows the old theme of my website and www.pooch-e.com shows my updated theme. How can I get pooch-e.com to show my new theme too

Featured Comment

Your site DOES NOT have a www. so you should never use it. If you try to use this URL within Google Webmaster Tools or Google Search Console, it is just a redirect.

None of the websites here at WA use www. simply because that is an outdated way to present a website, it is actually a subdomain and all browsers are now stripping the www from the URL as it is completely redundant.

If you are every using your URL for any application, you want to use the actual root form of your URL:

http://pooch-e.com

Hope this helps you out Karen!

Thanks Kyle, I was confused as in Google Search Console I had entered them both and only the www version was showing my updated theme. Should I remove the www version from Google Webmaster tools or leave it there?

Thanks Kyle for clearing that up. I understand it better now too.

I think this is because of URL canonicalization

Could you explain please?

I used the seo site checkup which came back 0%. What do I do next?

Yes, you have the problem ...It's requires one line of coding or else if you are using Yoast there is direct option to solve this. But in my opinion, you better contact support team.

Thanks for your help. How do I contact the support team. Sorry, I am new to this

Its oke...On your left side tap on siterubix-> site support -> tap on "click new hosting support ticket"->choose a category->'website down' then write your problem-> submit this request

If the changes are recent, it could just be cached content that you're seeing and not really how it should be. Try force refreshing it or open in an anonymous session in your browser.

Or just try to access in another computer and see if it works.

I've tried that no change.

Perhaps resubmit the sitemap. You could try that out.

I've tried to get rid of structured data errors by updating with a newer theme. The errors are still there however I've noticed that there are 2 versions of my site on Google S

Hi just trash the one you do not want

KVeater: Google loves http://URLs. The www. designation is old hat and doesn't work very good across the web. In fact, you can generally leave out the www. and still get to a website. I would eliminate the www. version and move ahead.

I am not sure how your website is listed in WP but most of the WP websites are designated by the URL that starts with http:// and not www. DAN

I've removed the www version, thank you.

Hello. Although you are advised in webmaster tools to have the http and the www Google doesn't actually work with the www version now so best to stick to the http.
Robert

I've removed the www version, thank you.

Only the www version seems to have been updated to my new theme though?

I trust you got your answer, if not, PM me.

You want to use the non www account but keep them both there.

I set up my personal Google+ profile and started sharing posts from my website. I've now added a business page to my Google+ but can't work out how to now make the posts go to

So this is your new profile on Gplus. If so then you have to repeat the procedure of verification as you did before.

I thought that too, but it just said you own this website so no need. It's all linked, I have my personal profile then added the business to my profile. I can switch between using G+ as me or the business page.
