I'm probably alone on this.

So....I get that I'm going to get a lot of flack on this but I just have to put this out there. Am I the only consumer out there that doesn't actually read blogs but goes straight to the recipe or to the part of the article that is doing the comparison? I truly don't care what day of the week or what is happening in the bloggers life to get their food recipe. Ouch! I'm really not a bad person. I'm the type of person that goes for the quality or theme of the book or movie...I don't follow an author or movie producer. I get extremely irritated when I go to look for a quilt pattern (I'm a quilter) or a recipe, I click on the image, and then it's no where to be seen on the page and I'm supposed to wade through mountains of info to find what I'm looking for. No way. I'm gone. Easy access for me. I guess why I'm writing this is because I keep hearing that I need to write 1500 word blogs. What about quality? Does it only come in long blogs? I truly hope to start a dialogue here. On a side note, I'm not complaining about WA or Kyle. His wealth of information is amazing and I completely trust in and value his advice. I'm just trying to figure out how to adhere to the trainings here and also try to fit in.

I understand what you are saying. Since Google likes lots of content, I try to include lots of content.

On my websites, I have a table of contents that allows the person to go straight to the part the person is most interested in.

This post makes me think that I need to make sure the most important information is at the beginning of the post. Thanks for the reminder.

I do the same thing in most cases. I like pro and cons listed not written out. I DO follow authors or book bloggers I'm particularly interested in, but I like shorter bits of information on things, not long freaking posts.

That said I don't think you're alone because Kyle does say people don't have a long attention span, so short paragraphs get them read, long paragraphs, people won't read.

I understand. I go straight to the recipe too. And I hear ya - you want to be able to adhere to the trainings and fit in as well as be yourself and do what it is that comes natural to you.

Sometimes, with a recipe, for instance, maybe I like knowing what kinds of cooking materials are better to use with a recipe over others. Like, if I'm making kombucha - well, is metal okay to use with it or should I use glass? Or is either good?

If you're doing quilting patterns, what would you suggest are some better materials for this quilt pattern verses another one? Maybe throw in your opinion about what you like to use, but then tell others, that this material will work also?
I guess, ask yourself what if you were just learning this stuff and what would you like to know about it.

I hope this helps some :)

Great advice!

Don't think you are a bad person. Just want what you want and want it now. Impatient? Maybe I am too laid back to relate to your situation.
My biggest complaint is with search engines that don't listen. I type in Men's Black Stetson western leather hat. Why am I looking at white hats, blue hats, Women's hats, kids hats, hats with flowers...

That drives me to a near rage. Maybe I am not doing it right.
Excuse me, I think I need to take my meds.
