The Blame Game

The sad reallity of life is that when we find ourselves in challenging situations, we fail to challenge ourselves more and interogate on how best we can overcome the barriers lying ahead of us. We are quick to point fingers and try to find the reason for our circumstances elsewhere when the answer is right within us. More often than not, these phrases have become music to my attending ears;

• “I can’t start a business in this impoverished economic environment…”
  
• “Who will buy my products when unemployment rate in this country is over 90%...”
• “I don’t really have time for this. I am in full time employment…”
• “I am not an ICT guru so I will never be successful in any Internet based business…”
• “All Internet based programmes are scams. They cannot be trusted…”

Yes, I come from a place where there isn’t any economy to talk about. I come from a background where there is bad governance, corruption at the highest level, no respect for the rule of law, no respect for property rights and where there is virtually no currency to talk about. I will look at these setbacks as my ultimate motivating factors to make the impossible possible, to attain the otherwise known as unattainable. To my fellow brothers and sisters who can relate to any of this, I challenge you today. Take action, now is the oldest you have ever been and the youngest you will ever be so yes, now is the time!

The world has become one global village that is connected by the Internet hence my business need not be physically located within any geographical boundary. Starting an online business is the best thing that can ever happen to anyone as the business is not shaped by the immediate environment or circumstances. You only need to fully engage yourself, give it time and every little piece will fall into its rightful place. This kind of business has the whole world as its catchment area and what can be better than this? I refuse to let the current economic meltdown in my country determine my future.

Sometimes we tend to enjoy the comfort of working for somebody, a guaranteed pay check whether we engage ourselves or not. The truth is, an employer will only pay you an amount that is enough to take you to the next pay day. You literally live a borrowed life…house under mortgage, car loan, personal loan, hire-purchase schemes, all through the power of the payslip. I don’t enjoy this life anymore. At the end of the day nothing I have is truly mine and this is not just a sad reality but completely heart breaking. I am prepared to work for someone for 40 years, helping him realize his dream while throwing my own dream in the dustbin. I am not patient to work for two to three years, building my own business that will sustain me even when my body gets too tired to work, oh poor me! I have decided to free up some time and make hay while the sun still shines.

So my search for a genuine fulfilling and rewarding business opportunity begins, and I eventually land on Wealthy Affiliate. My experience with Wealthy affiliate has taught me that I do not need to be an ICT expert to build an Internet based business, neither do I need any prior knowledge or experience in online stuff. All the necessary training is provided step by step with visual aids, video tutorials and a virtual chatroom where help is readily available at the click of the button. I must say the Wealthy Affiliate community is just awesome. Not only is it full of experts, but these are also completely selfless individuals who will take time to answer even the smallest, pettiest question. Big up to these great men and women for making learning a painless experience!

While it is true that there are some bad boys out there, good ones also still do exist and the same applies in Internet based business. There are some scams out there who will strip you of your hard earned money and disappear overnight, but genuine businesses like Wealthy Affiliate also still do exist. If you let one bad experience shape your perception of Internet based business, then you are also throwing away an opportunity for your ultimate breakthrough. Once you experience life at Wealthy Affiliate you will also realize the many check points that you may have missed in your previous search for a genuine business opportunity, and you will soon realize where you missed the bus. I must admit that in my quest for a genuine opportunity I also met some bad guys but that is water under the bridge. I am focusing on the now, I am focusing on the genuine opportunity that I eventually found, Wealthy Affiliate!

Many people try to find a scapegoat, an excuse for their failure to take charge of their own lives. They allow their future to be shaped by the various different backgrounds from where they come. The blame game should come to an end. Unless we are willing to break the barriers, unchain our lives, go for the moon then we can never unleash the full potential in us. Dreams will die dreams, wishes will always be wishes. Rather than allowing our future to be shaped by our present circumstances and immediate environments, we should take ownership of our future, realize that our destiny is in our hands and take action NOW and stop playing the blame game!
