Time to get back to what's important...
This past week has shown me the importance of a few things. There are things that I want to do and things that I have obligated myself to do. I realize that the pace that I have subjected myself to is insane. Just to point out:
- I work full time, and then some because of the workload at my job being backed up and highly inefficient
- I am in the choir at my church
- I am in the men's chorus at my church
- I play violin and saxophone at my church
- I am a Freemason
- I am recording secretary at my Masonic Lodge
- I go to school online, which demands a lot more time than you would think
- I have a son who seems to play a sport every season!
- I have a fiancee whom I usually only get to see on the weekends (she lives in the next town over from mine)
...and now, I have decided to start my online business!
Yeah...I think I've bitten off a bit more than I can chew.
So I really need to grasp the concept of saying "NO" and get back to doing the things that will allow me the best opportunity to meet my goals. That way I can fully participate in the activities that I love to do without feeling like I am burning the candle at both ends. I haven't neglected any of my obligations (I have a 3.87 GPA and my son finds ways to avoid my calls, saying I "bother him". Gotta love pre-teens) but I feel as if my life is a blur. I need to make some decisions as to how I'm going to move forward with my life or else I will never succeed here.
I have an idea of what I want to do and it involves doing what is best for me, my family and starting my business. I plan on drawing back on my other activities if they are in conflict with those goals. So as I get ready to sacrifice eight hours to one of the most mismanaged institutions on the planet, I will be taking the time to mentally rewrite my life and my priorities.

You have to put your future in the first place, and a small shift you make in the direction toward your goals can change the entire destination ! :)
You seem to be an organized person and a very active one at that. I hope your path will take you to new and exciting times.
Best wishes,
Dave
