My Motivation

I've read many profiles since becoming a member here at WA. Of course many of the member's goals consist of being able to do this full time. I am no exception to this. My biggest reason for doing this is the possibility of financial freedom. Because when you are free to earn money in your own way, you don't need to to worry about stipulations that are put forth by whatever company you work for.

But before I quit my job, I want my fiancee to be able to quit hers.

I know that my position is stressful, but it pains me to see her so stressed out and unappreciated. She has worked hard to get her Bachelor's Degree in order to move up in the company, only to be turned down over and over again, despite having supervisory experience and relevant experience in several different departments. She did this also while raising two marvelous young men too! I would love to be able to tell her to submit her resignation; I can take care of her now!

Unfortunately, we work for the same company. Having a relationship with a co-worker is not forbidden, but highly discouraged. And if the relationship gets to the point of marriage, then one person or the other has to quit. Regardless of location (we work in different departments at different locations) married couples cannot be employed at the company we work for.

This has been a constant strain on our relationship. For one thing, we have kept our relationship a secret from our co-workers, which means we have kept it a secret from the majority of the people we know. We cannot go to work functions together, put up pictures of each other on our desks, or even hold hands in public. Any time that we do go somewhere together locally, the first thing we do is scan the parking lot to see if we recognize any vehicles of co-workers, then once inside we scan again to see if any co-workers are there. It has become taxing and a very unnecessary burden.

Many of you may be wondering, "why don't one of you just get another job somewhere else?" Simple answer: I've been at the company for 9 years, and she for 7. We've tried to look for jobs in this area, and unless you have a degree in physics or engineering, or are retired from the military, you are not going to get a decent paying job. This area caters to military, defense contractors and tourists. Even if we happened to luck out and find a job in our current field, we would have to take a pretty big pay cut due to being in that situation where we would have to start over somewhere else and have to build back up to making the amount of money we are now.

Every day that I do something for my business, it's not only one more step to financial freedom; its one more step to personal freedom. I have heard people equate their job to bondage, or their work to prison, and I can relate. To be a success in my online business would be more than a dream come true, it would mean life to me. I would able to do the things that most people take for granted, like GET MARRIED for starters, to be able to mention my lady's name to people without worrying about who they may know, and little things like send love messages over Facebook to her without worrying about Human Resources threatening either of our jobs (yes our HR department regularly scans employees' Facebook pages).

I know this has been a long post, but I just had to get it off my chest. This HAS to work. I have no plan B. This is it!

Hi keep up the hard work Im sure you will get there Cheers

Sometimes it can be good to not have a plan B it will make you stick with plan A until you succeed!
I hear you bro.
It is in those moments when things are hard that we make the best
Decisions in our lives.
Stay focused on your goal and you will get there!
You have strong reasons , you will make it .
It's not always easy to get where you want in your life but it's always worth it.

I am with you as well as the WA community. Keep on and it will work.

Wow ktone03 that is definitely motivation. I'm cheering for you buddy and look forward to hearing about your success! I know where you are coming from. I feel like a rat trapped in a maze. Every turn is another wall or obstacle. It seems like a JOB is nothing but a dead end. There are billions of dollars made on the internet every day... why not just get a very small percentage of that :) This is my... I don't know... maybe the sixth thing I've tried. To be honest I didn't put too much time into any thing because it seemed like there was a steep learning curve and so many scammers out there just wasting my time. I quit for a while but you know I want to stick it out this time! I know for a fact that if I stay where I am I will not be happy in five years. Its time to take risks and focus!

Don't give up!
