How do you delete a free website

how do you create a new site

Hi. Lesson 4 of the certification courses shows you how to create/build a website. Have you already checked this training out? This is the link:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/online-entrepreneur-certification-getting-started-level-1/getting-rolling

Instead of deleting your site, change the theme, rework it or whatever. Use it as a practice site till you get what you are looking for. If you delete it, you will still own the domain name, but you will be starting from scratch on a new site. Or start a siterubix site and use it as a practice site to learn how to build and manage. Copy and paste anything into a page or post and learn how to arrange and modify it. Add pictures, basically learn how to control the information on wordpress before you actually post information you want to keep. By learning how to post and edit and manage your site first, when you are ready to start adding meaningful content the stress level goes way down and find yourself enjoying what you are doing.

Don't try to do it all at once, designing your site, building your content, getting rankings etc.

Put up some information, anything, edit it ,change it, change themes, layout, add photos. Once you learn how to manage your site easily, and get it to look how you want it to look, adding content is easier and less stressful. After 5-6 posts of content then you can work on SEO and rankings. Just break it down into one thing at a time instead of all at once.

Thank you very much I think it was keltic who got me going again. I appreciate your follow up

if I delete my website in the early stages due to having problems will this prevent me from using my domain name again when I begin the new WP blog?

Hi, Jerry,

My understanding is that if your domain name is pointed to the WA servers it should still be there as available to use.

But if I wanted to start again what I'd be doing is making changes - you can change the theme and edit or remove posts and pages that aren't to your liking, etc.. And that sounds like less work to me that totally starting again.

Hope this helps,

Richard.

Hi. If you go to "Websites and Hosting" you can see a list of your websites. Just look for your free website and hit the delete button. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I appreciate the help I am not only new here but new to doing anything on the internet after a lot of looking and wasted money I think I am finally in the right spot to figure thing out. I am unsubscribing to all the gurus and going to spend my time here.

That is the way to do it, unsubscribe from the "Gurus." :)
I wasted money too..........but I have found that at WA you learn tons and tons of information that you don't get from any "Guru." It can be kind of overwhelming, but it is real and it has taught me the right way to do things.
