To those of you who have been here a while--I need to know--how in the world did you keep from feeling overwhelmed in the beginning? I haven't even really started--yet I get al

Hi Kimberly, I have several email folders set up and I move emails that i want to keep to one of those folders. Very important, keywords, website, social media, general. I have a great deal of blogs and stuff that I know I will need later on so I file them. If it is really important, I will open the email and then save it to favorites within WA. Other emails I open and reply to and then archive.

Set up a system where you can retrieve the emails later on. Set aside some time to go through them and when the time is up, move on to other tasks. Hope this helps. Dave.

As always, Dave, you are wonderfully helpful--thanks!

Let me know if this helps Kimberly. Have a Merry Christmas:)

I will!

Hi Kimberly.
Your post made me think of this great post by Ian...

I'll be sure to check it out--thanks!

You are welcome.
Please do check it out. He offers some excellent tips :-)

You tend to the more important issues first.
That or those that trivial are.. leave for the next round.

Makes sense--thanks!

Hey I did it all the time too. I kept doing it until I realized that I spent more time going from one website to another rather than building mu own.

Just like everyone say, you better focus on the certification course first. It has all you need to build your website. Implement all the lesson you learn. Remember that you don't have to know everything to get started. So don't rush it. Things will grow overtime.

Thanks, ZeeA!

Decide which course you want to pursue. If you are promoting WA, than begin in the Bootcamp. If you want to promote your own Niche entrepreneur certification. Stick to the order they are laid out, complete all the tasks and when you get stuck ask the Community for help.

Good to know, Wayne--I think I'll follow the way it is laid out.

When I started sticking to the course it lifted some of that overwhelming feeling. Glad it helpef

Thanks again!

concentrate on the entrepreneur certification. Kyle goes step by step and he keeps it very very simple. All of this stuff is really very simple come it is just very new to you. once you actually do a couple of things your focus will increase tremendously.

Good advice--sometimes it's hard to see the forest for the trees!

Especially when you are brand new.

I'm stuck on what my niche should be. It seems so important but you are told its not a big deal. Any advice on how others came up with their niche?

Your niche should be something you are comfortable with, know something about (or are willing to research), something that you can easily write about.

~Debra

Best advice is to focus on something you enjoy, are passionate about...you are going to need to write a lot of content and often...so choose something that you enjoy otherwise it will become a chore and a bore and it will show to your readers

HI, I remember being overwhelmed myself when I first started. I was eager and a little too keen to learn and move forward. I made the mistake of hopping from one section to another. Eventually I realized that I had to make time and start to follow the courses. One step at a time. When I didn't understand a lesson, I would go back to it again and only move forward when I was happy that I had taken it all in.

Thanks for responding--it means a lot to me! That seems to be the popular methodology which I WILL follow! I'm not a skipper-arounder (LOL) anyway.

Hi. Well when I first started here I already knew quite a bit about how to build a website, but not on the internet marketing side of things. Just focus on Kyle's training to start off with, starting on level 1. Depending on what you have going on in your life I would say try and get through just one video and one set of tasks a day, if you can handle it. I was still going to school when I went through all the training so it was tough. If you can't handle one a day then maybe one every other day. It is a ton of information, so just take things slow. It's not a race!

Thanks so much---I have started with Level 1, and am about to start Lesson 3. It just seems that the bloggers here offer so much information that I'm afraid I'll need it at some point--even though I have no idea when--LOL! I actually can devote a lot of time to the course after January 1, so hopefully that will help, too.

I understand where you're coming from. When I first signed up to WA I would get at least 100 emails every day to my gmail account. I was actually trying to reply to everything but it just ended up driving me nuts after a while, so I ended up disabling all notifications going to my email. Now I just reply to what I can when I feel like it, because you could literally get distracted with other areas of WA all day and not get anything done. A lot of it is time management. Don't worry about the blogs, the main focus of training is Kyle's. When you're done with that I would look into Jay's because he has some pretty great info too :)

That is GREAT advice--that's been my main problem! There have been a couple of very useful blogs at this point for me, but most of them are WAY over this very Newbie's head. Thanks again!

No problem at all. Message me if you have any other questions, at one point I was struggling with the same thing. This really is mostly about time management and yes, a lot of the bloggers here are more experienced so a lot of they're info won't be easily processed by a newbie. That's why it's best not worry about them :) WA is just like any other social network if you think about it, you just gonna learn how it works and what works best for you.

That's a fact!

uch timeor skip anything as you will go backward like I did and wasted so mYes the best advice is to do your training step by step and do not miss a single item and whn you have done it go back and do it again - I have been here now in my third months and still learning things that I had missed!!!

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question! I will do it step by step--and then again if I need to! Good luck to us both!

I'm not sure from where!

If you want to add tags for your posts, there is an option on right side of editing window.

Hi,
you are talking about the blog here on WA, right?

When you write the blog, just scroll down to the end and you will find a few buttons.
One of them says "Add Tag". Type the tag (also known as keyword) in the field next to the button and then click the button to add the tag.

Once you have added 3 tags, you can publish your blog.

Hope that helped.
