Dedication
I signed in today & was welcomed by a new badge: dedication.
At first I scoffed. Dedication?! I really haven't been that engaged the past couple months, and, let's be honest, this has had me feeling a little disheartened.
But, once the initial sarcastic surprise rolled off, I cam to an epiphany. Dedication comes in many forms. Dedication doesn't always look like a 9 to 5 commitment. Dedication can also reflect how often you return to something. This particular badge marks my 6 month mark with WA. But, it also made me realize that I've been dedicated to my mindfulness biz for even longer than that. I've easily been working on this online path for 2 years. There have been breaks, but I've always come back.
Where I began and what I thought I would be doing "successfully" is not where I am now. BUT, I have learned SO many things along the way and I can feel the momentum building. And, the momentum that is building is in an area that I am even more excited about.
I remember a business mentor revealing to me, a couple years ago, a perspective change on success. There were two pictures. The first was a straight line, which is how most of us picture success. The second was a loopy scribble starting at point A and leading to Success; this is the reality. At the time it wasn't what I wanted to hear as I was really looking to make an income. But, even though I didn't want to hear it, it has been true and has made me all the more grateful for the things I have learned along the way to getting here.
I know there is still so much more success ahead, and even though in some ways the road has been long, I am grateful. The past few months have had numerous projects in other areas and I stepped back a little from here. I could have chosen to put more time of my day towards this, but it would have meant taking time away from my family, and that time is so precious. So, I am grateful. I am grateful for the journey. I am grateful for the time with my family. I am grateful for the momentum. I am grateful for dedication.

Congrats on your new badge. That is the beauty of WA, we can step back when we need to and everything will be as we left it. Sometimes life gets in the way of our progress here and nothing we can do about that except to just pick back up and move forward.
Thanks! I agree. I am really grateful to have this, too. As you said, everything is right here, all of the progress and checkpoints, so it's easy to pick back up again. I hope all is going well for you!
