Enhanced Amazon Commission Rate Applies to All Monthly Sales
I had been wondering what would happen to past sales if and when you reach one of the enhanced Amazon Commission rates?
I suppose I could have spent a couple of hours reading through the terms and conditions, but life is too short for that nonsense and I thought it better to get on with creating more content.
Anyway, I am approaching the end of my 2nd Month of Amazon Commissions and have 9 "shipped" sales so far.
I just checked my account and was delighted to discover that the enhanced rate applies to all commission payments in any given month, not just those that occur after the "trigger date".
So, whilst the initial 4% rate at Amazon .com is a bit miserable, getting to the 6% and above really can make a significant difference to your monthly earnings.
I hope that this short post provides some further encouragement to those just starting out as Amazon Affiliates - get at least 8 sales per month and your earnings increase by 50% :)

I promoted (sold) 20 items from Amazon last month, my commission was 6% I'm just glad I finally started earning after 4 or 5 months of work lol. Now I just have to keep adding quality content and affiliate links. Thanks for the info.

i have got a whole website full of amazon ladies fashion but not one sale where am I going wrong?

You have a lot of affiliate links but not a lot of informative content on your website. What are your keywords and how are they ranking when checked?
In order to get Google's attention each page or post you have should contain 500 - 2000 words about your chosen keywords. More is better! A few affiliate links can be used when the website is new, but lots of them will hurt your rankings.
At this point, you might think about adding lots of useful content to your website, perhaps reviews of those items comparing them to other brands and why the ones you chose are better.
Just my two cents.
Hi good advice. I know I still have a lot to learn but with this sort of help I should get there. My key words are mostly in the titles or close by. I will check them tomorrow to see how they're ranking and more content shall be added. Also Amazon just let me know that my links were not tagged to my affiliate code
They told me to add more links. So things should be looking up soon.Thanks for helping.
