Sidetracked by the Shiny Ball Syndrome
I remember in May I blogged about not letting us get distracted over the summer. I
should have taken my own advice.
I slacked off.
Very little blogging.
To much time surfing the internet.
Playing mindless games on my phone.
Not listening to classes, well a couple here and there.
Not keeping up with the basics to move forward.
And the worst possible thing was getting distracted by another OPPORTUNITY!
I let my emotions control me and say oh this is easy and you can do both.
NO! I CAME TO MY SENSES AND STOPPED THINKING ABOUT THE OTHER OPPORTUNITY.
I came Home. Wealthy Affiliate is my home.

Everyone experiences a period of stagnation and distance from work.
I think there is no need to feel bad.
For some it takes less time, for some it takes longer, but you should return more rested and with more energy for better results.

Yeah, I've severely slacked off on my website posts, but not due to being lazy or procrastinating. It's just that I'm learning and doing SO MUCH, I haven't been able to spread myself thin enough. And then I was recently distracted by the Shiny Ball Syndrome. I was sucked in by a MMO video I saw recently and decided to pay the $49 (I think it was) to get their "miracle" system, whatever. When I was immediately presented an upsell, I thought, "Well, I knew there'd be an upsell, there always is." So, I paid for that too. But then I got hit with a whole LIST of upsells I was expected to purchase, and that was when I came to my senses and stopped. I immediately initiated my refund, (which I DID get) and I've kept some screenshots, intending to do a review on that MMO "System" to let people know it's crap, and to choose WA instead!
Thanks your your honest and humble post, and good job "coming to your senses" and realizing that we already have a VERY shiny ball, right here at Wealthy Affiliate!
