Build your site by following the training. When your site looks good, you are ready to get it indexed in Google. I suggest that you request indexing for each page/post right after you create it and publish it. That way you can save time and not need to go into your back office and request indexing for each one later.

When your site is ready for indexing, you can apply Adsense to your published site.

Adsense will place ads all over your site. Make sure that you have good traffic to your site before you apply Adsense.

Adsense will place ads everywhere on your site. It will place ads under and over your content. It makes it difficult for the reader to concentrate on your content. Your visitor will most likely stop reading your site and search for a site that isn't bombarded with ads.

Adsense is best used for sites that already have an established following with many visitors and views.
