My ranking went down a bit because I was active then it shot way up and I noticed that I lost creator points Why?
The stats are updated daily. So if your creating activity slows down then you'll lose creator points. Also for your rank to go up someone else's rank has to go down.
The best that I've been able to determine is that older points that you've previously received "fall off" the ranking stats after some period of time. By remaining active, newer points get added quicker than the older ones get removed.
The amazing thing is in a cumulative based system how is it ever possible To lose points? My wife is studying statistics and probabilities right now which is why this is fresh in my mind.
It's not just cumulative based Jay. The stats are updated daily according to the previous day (or a few days) activity. Longevity is only a part of the algorithm. I don't know the full system, only K, C and admin know that.
I'm sure. I will leave this alone. One of the 3 Cs that I made in undergrad was in differential equations.
