Spam is a no no - Questions

Good morning, WA members.

Today Nathaniell reply to one of my message to a member, which I felt should be discuss by all instead of just me replying there.

He brings out a very good point which should be debated / discuss / improved on. Here is a screenshot of the said message (I hope Nathaniell do not mind):

I used to offer to advice members not to put in their website link in their post and most of the time I just inform them that it is for their information only (FYI only) ... sometimes, I forget to put that in. The link I attached is usually this:

After reading Nathaniell's post, he have good points too ... yet there is still some grey areas. I think members would learn a lot about the meaning of spamming in WA by just reading that post alone. There is also a link inside there to another well known WA member post, Loes:

For me, my 2 cents of opinion and suggestion, to get the discussion going, are as follows:

1. I think it is Kyle's responsibility to clear any doubts or grey areas in this areas by updating this training regularly or as and when needed, the do and don'ts. Of course, he do not have do it himself since he is a very busy man.

2. Maybe WA can set up another section (like we have blog, training, success, etc ... why not website related?) just for member to ask or blog specifically with regards to their wordpress themes, plugins, problems, how-to and so on. This is to differentiate it from the Site Comments and Site Feedback. I think this will help a lot of members with regards their wordpress website, to improve their presentation.
