Hello beautiful people, is it better to create a facebook group or facebook page?
I'm not speaking of a personal page..a page that focuses on your niche. What's the best way

Hi Kim,
I'm seeing a trend toward groups. These groups provide value. But a group will need activity, engagement. The groups that I belong to "go live" almost daily. They post engaging questions to get heavy interaction. They ask members to share, invite new members. Most of them have moderators.
During the "Live" sessions, they ask viewers to comment #value, #understand. You also want viewers to catch you on a Live video after the Live session is over. So when they start they say "Everyone who is watching now, please comment #teamlive and if you are catching us on the replay please comment #teamreplay" This is so that FB sees number of comments "Engagements".
Also, think about inviting guests in your niche to do a live with you.

I think it sounds like you are about to have lots of fun!

Yes, I am...thank you handsome for the insight, you just put me on level unlimited!

Hi Kim, just adding some thoughts, in January in a statement Mark Zuckerberg stated,

“I’m changing the goal I give our product teams from focusing on helping you find relevant content to helping you have more meaningful social interactions.”

It is going to have an impact on the ability of the publishers of fan and business pages to get reach and market penetration, the goal posts have been shifted. His statement coincides with a new update to the Facebook algorithm, that will diminish posts from brands, publishers, marketers, and news stories, so for fan pages to get engagement they will have to pay, the age of paid customer and client acquisition has arrived.

Looking at it Facebook wants to create an environment, where the interaction is more between people to people and not people to brands and organizations.

Facebook is concerned about providing a quality experience that will promote a user’s well-being so content that creates interaction and back and forth conversations will have precedence over the type of posts that have been typically associated with fan pages the road has become a little harder to navigate.

By their nature, Facebook groups tend to create that kind of interaction, it will still take some work to build and maintain engagement, but long term it may be the way to go. More so than ever content needs to relevant and congruent to the theme of the fan page or group failure to try and do that will impact the organic reach of both.

I guess with the advent of fake news and the fallout from it Facebook is between a rock and a hard place, in a way new updates will be aimed at addressing some of the issues that the company face.

A long way of saying my pick is on facebook groups as opposed to fan pages although for local businesses they are a good way of creating a social footprint.

Thank you. You've provided some very valuable information and insight. I appreciate the long way around :0 Thank you again!
