SORRY, I DID A MISTAKE

It appears clearer and clearer day by day that I'm on the wrong track with my first niche choice. I succumbed to the temptation of trying out a niche that I'm pretty sure has a great commercial potential, but unfortunately I have no relation or interest in this industry. There are very many good keyword, but I suffer a lack of knowledge and passion about the subject. I know that it is possible to obtain information on the subject but I think passion takes a long time to build up. I discovered quite early on that I was on the wrong path, but I have a certain stubbornness to want to continue with something I've begun.

I have to feel it in my heart that this is the right choice, I am not convinced.

THIS IS DONE SO FAR

  • Online Entrepreneur Certification Level 1.
  • Online Entrepreneur Certification Level 2. (To Lesson 9)

  • Created domain.com

  • Created a Web page.

WHY I CHOSE THE NICHE

After doing a lot of research, I came across an industry with a great business potential. I found a lot of very good keywords and found that there was a customer group who mostly shop online to get hold of their products. I was very engaged and began almost immediately to create my new website.

MY EXPERIENCE SO FAR

Although I know I ought to begin with something that I have a passion for, I now know that I have learned very much from this. I'm sure it's easier to write about something I like or have a passion for, and will do so now gradually. Although I know I ought to begin with something that I have a passion for, I now know that I have learned a lot from this.
It is a big challenge to write good quality articles in an unfamiliar industry where I miss the great passion. I have a passion for helping people and I think that is an argument to proceed with this.

MY ADVICE IS

It's easy to get lost in the jungle of keywords, and exciting industries. Stick with those wise advice given in each lesson. It is easiest and most fun to write about something you are interested in, especially when you are writing a bunch of stuff.

FINALLY

I've spent a lot of time on my website plussizespace.com and will not delete it yet. Maybe you give me the inspiration to continue. Anyway, I want to maintain this site because I have purchased a domain.

In my further web business career, I will mainly focus on my greatest interests and passions. Follow me and see.

I liked your entire article. It is very informative and the guidance all true and I agree with it. As you mentioned "business potential" is very important. I visited your website. It is very well designed. This niche is related to one of the biggest industries, specifically in the U.S. and specially if your site include related fitness program and diet plans. I think since you have already found this niche and worked on it, if you can somehow utilize expertise from sources and people who are passionate about it and include them on your website, it will be a very successful business. I don't know how you can do it, but may be you have thought about this idea as well. I know a lot about Star Wars action figures from 1977 to present. The interest about Star Wars has been always there and will be there, but the value of action figures directly relates to economy conditions, however your niche is economy bulletproof. I wish you a lot of success.

Thanks a lot for your insightful reply on my article. I completely agree with you regarding to include a fitness program and diet plans. I have begun to do so and will only expand it more. I really like your idea about utilize expertise from sources and people who are passionate about it and include that on my website. I will work on that idea. Thank you again, and all the best to you.

I understand. I have a crazy domain I have owned for 3 years (gloomybloomy) I bought it on a whim. I am thinking I can use it for helping people with growing beautiful plants, indoor and outdoor. I would rather work on WA site. Go figure. I am committed but frustrated. Not sure what advice to give except to take a breather, rant on WA and then go back to it. I am plus size and like the idea of your website. One suggestion, add a tagline to title.

Thanks for your feedback, and spending of your time. I will absolutely take with me your wise advice. A tagline to the title is a very good idea :)

Hey Kjell, as one who has been doing this Internet Marketing thing for a bit of time, a key factor is to know when something isn't working out. It could be for a variety of reasons but not having a passion is a huge consideration. Remember, readers will know when your heart is not in it.

If you have passion but not that much knowledge, that is an entirely different situation because the knowledge is easily gotten. Either through interviews, research, etc., the knowledge is easy, over time, to acquire. Passion on the other hand, is something much more difficult to acquire.

As for not deleting your site because you've spent time on it, why not sell it on Flippa or elsewhere? If you have put some time in it, you may be able to get a decent amount for it and then just move on.

Thanks for your feedback on my blog post. It helps me to get others' views on the topic. I have not considered the idea of selling the site, that can certainly be a possibility. I will take with me your expert advice.

Thank you so much that you have spent your time on this.
