a week and a half in
I stumbled across WA purely by accident. I had just spent an hour on an online conference for another work from home site which ended up being 50 minutes of them advertising why I should buy their products and only 5 minutes of how I can actually work from home and another 5 of open questions. in order for me to sign on with their company I had to pay $40 to become a member to buy their products for myself and the work from home part was mainly nagging my friends and family to go through me to buy a bunch of stuff they don't need.
being me, I naturally googled the company to get feedback on whether not it was a scam. I came across a well written article on the company by a WA member. he didn't slander the company at all, in fact, it wasn't a scam, but I didn't like the idea of paying up front without even seeing if it was something I could do. he had a WA link with information and in that information was the free trial "no credit card needed.".........*click* WA, here I come!!
I am now a week in a half in and my "shot in the dark" has now become an open field with a clear target. I have learned a lot so far. yes, I still have a ways to go, but I am proud of what I have done so far. I still use the wrong terminology, yesterday I asked how to make a link "clicky" and I call the menu under the parent page "kid pages" and if I'm not sure of what something is I give a brief explanation of what i'm trying to do that usually ends with "thing"...(slideshow thing, plugin thing). from what I have seen so far in my brief time here, I am sure my lamen wording will one day be a thing of the past.
i now have what I call "website brain," everywhere I look is now a possible niche...."man, that's one ugly statue...ugly statues? hhhmmmmm...". the lessons and community are amazing. the lessons are the easiest things to follow and I like how they are literally broken up by step. not only do I get answers to my questions, but also a brief explanation of why. I like that. I like knowing why i'm doing a certain thing instead of just being told to do it, it helps me understand the process better. I even ended up having to turn off my email notifications because even though the follows and welcomes are great, you people were blowing up my inbox..lol. although I am unable to upgrade at the present time, I am not treated as a "freebie". I am treated as an equal and I've met people from all over the world who genuinely care about me succeeding. I really couldn't ask for more. well, except maybe a 1 year premium membership....just throwin' that out there...lol.
I think i'm going to round this up now. I could honestly go on for a whole lot longer about my positive experience here so far, but we have work to do so i'll spare you and end with a giant thank you to kyle and carson for putting this site together and to the entire community, whether it was a follow, a hello, or much needed help given. it is all extremely appreciated and I thank you.

I'm glad you're having a good time. I feel like I'm starting to learn a good deal and happy I continued with premium. I'm just worried that lessons 5 and 6 may be behind a yearly subscription as well. That what it sounded like... I know I couldn't afford a lump payment like that at this time in my life, but I suppose I'll deal with that when it comes. Until then I've been powering through the lessons and enjoying my time here.
I could be wrong, but I think the lessons have nothing to do with what kind of premium membership you have (monthy,3 month, a year). as long as you're premium you have access.
