Oh No, I Feel Unmotivated.

I was afraid this would happen, because I have too many interests, and it´s hard to stick to just one. So, I have a poker website and I have 21 posts published on it, so not that many yet. I´ve been really excited about my website, but now I´m feeling unmotivated.

I´m still very much into poker, sure. But sometimes it feels like hard work writing about poker, because I need to do a lot of research and thinking, especially for strategy posts. I do learn a lot about poker while researching, and writing about strategy comes as a good way to study poker as well.

Sometimes I can write posts quite quickly, but some posts are really hard to write. I´m not publishing as often as I´d like to. And now I´m dreaming about some kind of DIY blog. I might be more productive with a DIY blog, because it would probably not require as much research and brain work.

But it would feel disappointing to give up on my poker site now, and start a new one. I do n´t want to be a quitter. I would probably have a hard time keeping up two website simultaneously, at least at this point.

What if I would come up with new niche ideas again, and end up flying from niche to niche? I really do n´t know what to do right now.

I have the same problem with my website Kiranoppa. Mine is on "EDUCATIONAL ROBOTS". I'm totally dedicated to it, I also have done a lot of research, but I have the same problem as you.
DO NOT LOSE FAITH.

"Educational robots" sounds like a very interesting niche! Do you also have the same problem that you are thinking of other niches you are interested in? Or just losing motivation?

Hi Kirsti, it does happen that feeling of a lack of motivation. I see you as an ambitious, dedicated person and that kind of person does not quit. Positive thoughts, re-focusing and knowing you are here to conquer those negative, non-motivational moments.
All the best,
Michael

Never, never give up!
When frustrated don't worry just give yourself a break, refresh and come back with vigor.
Try it and see.
Cheers

I've experienced this before - the thing is, even though you're interested in a topic, it doesn't mean you'll like writing about it and creating content.
I always think, it's best to go for a niche you can imagine writing about for years into the future and that will keep you interested.
There will always be days where you feel unmotivated and don't want to create content - no matter what the niche.
But, if you get to a point where you really can't bring yourself to write a post in the niche you're in, you'll know it is wrong for you.
It's not good to spread yourself thin on various websites - but sometimes switching niches is just what ends up happening sometimes.
Figure out if this niche is really something you can envisage writing about for years to come.

Yes, this poker niche certainly is a niche that I can think of writing for years. The DIY niche is not even very clear to me what kind of DIY website it would be, so now I´m going to stick to the poker niche.

Sounds like you have your answer :) good luck!!!
