No more excuses for me

I've thought of quitting my job a number of times in the past but I've never mastered the guts. Not sure where the courage came from but some two months back I decided this was enough!

My work was very clerical in nature and involved a lot of customer servicing. This ensured I was tied to my post 8 to 5 since one could not predict when a customer will walk in, call or email.

Only the occasional bathroom break and the daily one-hour lunch break broke this monotony.

To add to the misery, hardly did I find time to compile reports during official working hours. I had an additional role in portfolio management which involved lots of reports preparation.

I did these at home during weekends or weekday evenings if urgent. For no additional pay!

My attempts to raise these with my supervisor did not bear any fruit. I was told that's the way things are now. We had undergone numerous and lengthy restructuring processes by then.

Only that I did not have to accept things as they are.

So after ten years since I was employed I've called it a day. Of course this decision looks simple on the surface, like an on and off switch, but I had to really do some soul-searching.

I've been to WA before but never did take any much action as I was constantly suffering burn outs from my day job. My perfect excuse!

Months and a year from now I'll be back to update on the results achieved this far. I write this last part to be able to hold myself accountable down the road.

Wish me all the luck I'll need.

You're welcome!

We do wish you success.

Now that you have made the big decision - you next step is to do the training and apply it to your website. Its all about taking action.

When you get stuck of have questions, just ask.

The training program is written so people become successful so there is no reason you can't be one of them.

Now it's keep doing.

Thank you

Hey Stephen

The first step is believing in yourself that you could make this move. So bravo on that. I know it was not easy. Now it's all about leveraging the power of the WA platform to your benefit. You are not any stranger to working. So to work smart dedicate yourself to really understanding the OEC and applying the tasks. Enlist the help of members that are competent and you can build a mentor-type relationship with them. This will go a long way in putting in the right foundation for your online real estate future.

That's very incisive thoughts you've got laid out there, much appreciated.
Interesting how we view working on a different undertaking despite the basic work being what we've done all along. That's an eye opener.

Congratulations on leaving your job
That must have taken a lot of guts to do
Well done on choosing a successful pathway that will eventually lead to financial freedom
I wish you well on your way going forward
Please keep.us posted on how you get on

Thank you.
I believe I'm on the right track since "if you want to know the road ahead ask those coming back" of which I've seen many here outlining their successes.

Awesome :)
