Writing Your First Article - How To Get Over Writer's Block

Today I started writing my first article for my website. Actually, it's less writing and more dictating.

I have never been truly a good writer, but I learned a tip, a long time ago, about how many authors write their books and do so quickly. They actually dictate the book. They talk about it or tell the story into a recorder. When they are done, they write out what they dictated and then edit it.

I have found that this technique works great for me. Other than having to listen to my own voice. Does anyone like the sound of their own voice? It's weird to hear.

Anyway, I thought I would share this tip in case you find yourself sitting in front of your computer with a white screen and no words. Start talking about your subject like your explaining it to a friend or a class and record it. Then write and edit.
