Just Make a Decision

It's so easy to get caught up in designing your business. Especially when it comes to the name of your business. You can get sucked in. Is it the right name? Is it accurate? Does it fit?

I spent last night writing out all kinds of names for my domain. I probably had 12-15 different name ideas. I would search availability but I would stop from actually purchasing. Why I wondered.

So, I decided to sleep on it to make sure the name I liked, I still liked. I woke up this morning still liking it but I still couldn't click buy.

When I sat down to think about it, I came to the realization that it was because I didn't think I was "expert" enough to deserve the name. I asked myself why I thought that. I soon realized it's because I am still comparing myselves to others in my field.

There will always be someone better than you. They will have more knowledge and experience but to those who are just learning, I AM an expert. And the more I teach, the more I need to learn which will make me more knowledgable and be more of an "expert."

So, this morning I hit buy and it's official. My domain has been purchased and I'm in the process of launching the site in all it's glory!

If you find yourself stuck, ask yourself what are you afraid of? Your fears stem from your beliefs. My belief was that I wasn't expert enough to deserve an a name that gives that perception. When I questioned that I realized the belief was a false belief and I was able to move passed my fear.

If I can do it, so can you. Keep moving forward. You don't have to be perfect to be great!
