Awesome - Was in the Title

That's the wording at the beginning of the email I just got from WA. It went on to tell me my posts are starting to get indexed by Google. Great news and all thanks to the advice you get here, on WA.

Ask and You Shall Find.

So, yesterday I posted a question in relation to getting our posts indexed. Basically I'm on Level 3, lesson 3 of the online entrepreneur training and asked if it was OK to skip ahead to the training that deals with Google Analytics and Google Search Console. The overall consensus was yes.

I joined WA in February and started posting early that month. Although my site had been indexed my posts were only showing up on Bing and Yahoo.

The Results

I did the magistudios training with Jay as this was more up to date than the original training on the WA portal. It was easy to follow so thanks Jay! I added the website sitemap after setting up Google search console. As it takes time I just left it overnight. When I checked this morning none of my posts were indexed, then I got the email. Checking on my website 8 out of our 15 posts are now indexed. I'm sure the rest will follow shortly.

A Question For The Wamily

I'm sure I've seen somewhere that you can offer a blog post straight away for indexing using the post URL. I tried this and it just keeps coming back saying I need to prove I own the property. I then end up in a circle that keeps bringing me back to the same place. Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

My Advice.

I hope it's OK to post this, but if you have a website up and running and you're at the beginning of your training, seek out the training on adding Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Make sure you add Google Analytics 1st....... it makes everything else so much easier.

Thanks again everyone for the ongoing support and advice. I'm now finding myself in the position that I can pay it forward, even if just in a small way. Surely that's the way forward for us all!
