More Delays
So I had another rough couple of days that really interrupted my WA work.
Tuesday morning I was working on an article for my site when I got a call from my cousin saying they were taking her dad (the one who has had TWO brain surgeries in the past month) back to ER. They ended up airlifting him to another facility two hours away and I stayed in town this time to help out with my cousin's little boy.
Luckily, they didn't need to keep him long, and they actually sent him back home the same night. But that took up most of my day. Not to mention, I think I literally worried myself sick that evening as I felt absolutely horrible when I got home.
And then yesterday morning I ran to the store with the dog, Mollie - she loves car rides! It's raining pretty good and quite windy, and when I got back to the car after doing my shopping - my car wouldn't start! All of the lights and the radio and everything turned on, but the engine wouldn't even rev...
Now, it's done this once before, and by the time my Grandpa had arrived to check it out, I had gotten the car started again. So I sat in the parking lot for about 30 minutes trying to start the car every few minutes.
Nothing. So just as I was calling my Grandpa again, it started!
He told me to take it to the shop, shut it off, and try turning it back on again. If it didn't start, go in and talk to the guys at the shop.
Guess what? I need a new starter... and the cost of having them replace it is almost half of what I still owe on the car - a car that I despise! Not only does the darn thing take premium gas only, but everything on that car is expensive to replace or fix because things are located in weird spots (for example, the battery is under the back seat....?!).
Needless to say, I've got it parked in the garage for now... We'll see if she ever rides again...

Hi Kiki, sounds like you've had a rough couple of days. The good news is that you don't have to think about or deal with any of that stuff while you're here at WA and you don't need a car to "get" here.
sometimes a good rant is all you need to get the thoughts out of your minds so you can concentrate on learning and/or writing.
Good luck with everything, I hope it all starts turning around for the better soon (I'll say a prayer for your uncle that he recovers quickly).
