Mini-devotion for Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, Genesis 7:1. KJV, "And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation." Noah lived during a time that was exceedingly wicked before the Sovereign Lord. We live in such a time today. God said he saw Noah as righteous before Him. I don't know how many people were alive during the days of Noah, but Noah and His family were were the only people who were saved. Today's world has a population of more than six billion people. My question today is how many of those populating our world are seen as righteous before the Lord. Today, may we come before the Lord asking His forgiveness for the sin in our lives. Does the Lord see you as righteous before Him. Does the Lord see me as righteous before Him? Only if the Blood of Jesus Christ has washed away our sins.

As in the days of Noah, so shall it be when Jesus returns in great power and glory to take his children home. The dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we that are alive and remain will be changed, in a moment, in the twinkle of an eye. "Caught up" to meet them in the midway of the air and forever be with the Lord!!!
