Traditional versus Online Marketing

As with everything else, the www.com has taken over and I am not talking about the: ' Whining Willy's, Wailing Nelly's and Wishful Dreamers Club'. Neither am I talking of the : 'Oh No!!! Not her Again Club. 'The internet and its diverse functions have taken the world by storm.A decade ago If someone had to mention that at a click of a key, one could communicate with someone on the farthest end of the planet, that person would be admitted to a mental home. Well, perhaps not as drastic as that, but it would be an inconceivable idea. Just like a man landing on the moon was unbelievable then.

Needless to point out online marketing is the present and future. In the past, traditional marketing was a tedious affair. Network marketing was embarrassing, one would have to toil to get a single sale for weeks on end, Endless meetings in the cold or heat, made it frustrating Now everything is available in one's own bedroom on a computer back office or on a little mobile device, for one to work from anywhere in the world. These days network marketing done the traditional way would be regarded as spamming, which is not tolerated at all. Nevertheless, it is way easier than continuously begging someone to have a look at one's opportunity, or selling products door to door, annoying people, humiliating oneself. No matter how valuable you may think your product is, the other person may run a mile in the opposite direction, at the mere sight of you. Now with affiliate marketing things are so convenient and easy, also very effective, affiliate marketing was not even heard off then.

The traditional way of doing business, is tiring and energy consuming, where most people merely survive from pay cheque to pay cheque..It has become increasingly easy to be one's own boss with digital marketing. To become a millionaire was a rare occurrence , yet with online marketing, millionaires are born over and again. Why not have the freedom of work from home, in one's pj's. In a traditional job one has to retire at a certain age. Why would I want to quit when I feel fit enough to own my very own concern from the comfort of my home. Besides,why would I want to be dependent on my loved ones to support me, when I have the option of earning my own money. In fact, I could even leave a legacy for them. I am not in a position financially to quit, nor do I feel old enough to retire, why would I want to work from home running, a proper business is such a lucrative way to earn my freedom, travel the world, be there for my family....

My generation has not grown up in a digital world, therefore getting clued on with online marketing is quite a daunting thought, many would rather avoid it Wealthy Affiliates, however, has made it so easy, by providing a platform for us to learn while we earn. Nevertheless, if we want to get anywhere in life these days, online marketing is as essential as driving.

This is what brought me to Wealthy Affiliates, I wanted to learn how to build websites and how to learn various internet skills. It started off being a fairly easy beginning, until I had to start working with SEO's etc. I know my son would be excellent at it, but do you think he would be willing to "teach an old dog new tricks" when he himself is so busy socializing on social media. I love the community here at Wealthy Affiliates, who are so willing to assist total strangers. I can see myself building quite a bond with many people from diverse cultures and countries.

The fact that Kyle and Carson (The creators of WA) are so humble and hands on appeals to me, it is no joke to handle so many people from all walks of life. It has been brought to my attention that Wealthy Affiliate has managed to assist people in making 6 or 7 figure incomes within a short space of time. What I found most appealing was the fact that they did not trick people into going premium with continuous deceiving "up sells" . WA certainly is value for money.
