I know images and pictures have been covered in many ways and places through the various discussions here in the halls of WAU, but I kept missing something. We all know that imag

Thank you much, Kham for this post.

My logo is a picture that describes where I am on a daily bases. At my table with my laptop and a cup of coffee.

It originally started with a picture from Google images I found a few years ago then I had a professional take the picture for me with a newer laptop.

I use it on my letterhead and my email signature.

I love it and how a picture/logo can truly represent you.

Here's my favorite picture/logo: www.labsbs.com

That is a cool site! Thank you for the compliment and the share ~smiles~

Yes, Kham, good information. We have become such a visual species, I think people respond so much better to graphics than just text. I like the idea of a branded signature. I might just try that myself. Thanks for the knowledge.

You are most welcome! And thank you for the compliment as well ~smiles~ I must agree with you on the visual aspect we have grown into.

Hello, Kham. This is a very good post with great information. Thanks! I've also been experimenting with adding just the right images to my posts or WP pages. I certainly like your idea of creating a "signature" to define your presence. I'm working on coming up with my own right now!

Regarding showing us that screenshot you made... when you create a blog post, there's a blue button at the bottom on the edit page called "Add Image." It lets you place a jpg, jpeg, or png image file directly in your post. Did you try that? If not, you can still edit this post and try to insert your picture. Give a try :o)

I noticed one of the differences between starting a discussion and posting a blog ... the blogs give you that image option, but the discussion creation (and edit option) seems to be strictly in Text mode with no options to change headings and add images. Though maybe I am just still missing something in that search as well ~smiles~

I'm working on a page in the Web Design part of my site though that will have the images as well as add to my overall site.

Thank you kindly for that compliment about this though! It makes me feel more confident that I really can make this work after a few years of 'dropping the ball' so to say

Kham

OMG, Kham... It didn't even dawn on me that your post was a Discussion post, not a blog post. So sorry about that! I guess I have "blogging" on my brain and its on overload from trying to multi-task this afternoon :P Of course, you're right about discussions being strictly Text mode with no other options (at least that I'm aware of).

In any case, we CAN do this! :o)
~Marie

That's very ok ~smiles~ I looked at them the same way for a while, blog post vs discussion. That is, until I made one of each and learned they are a bit different in their layout.

Either way it goes though, I am having a blast!

Kham

Me, too! Thanks, Kham :o)
