I realized that a post I published, might have been better served for the community inside wealthy affiliate. What should I do? if anything.
Well you shouldn't post an already published post on an other online platform like Wealthy Affiliate etc.
Google will eventually recognizing it and it could hurt your Google Ranking.
However, that been said, you could write a similar post which might have similar elements of your original post in it.
Or, and this is my personal idea not sure though if everyone else will agree with it.
Write, as I said, a similar post here and refer, if there is more interest about the topic, to the original post by posting the link of this particular post, not the whole website though.
I hope this is a bit of help to you, perhaps someone else can give you even a better idea etc,
We all do learn from each other. :)

Can I use a post form my page for a blog in the community?

Hi, Ken!
The "spam rules" page for WA says don't do it; as well as not to post what you put here on your website either.
See rules 2 and 3, on the following post by Kyle: Spam is a NO NO! This would protect both the WA site and your website.
Hope that helps :)

p.s. I just saw these today, coincidentally
If you completely rewrote it, possibly; but go read Kyle's bulleted list on that page I linked to, and see how you interpret it, Ken.
I interpret it as not copying your own content that you made here (for there) or that you made there (for here).
:)

My latest post to my website was about goals. However I wanted to use it as a blog within wealthy affiliate. could I have done both? What is the difference?
It is not a good thing to publish a post on your website and then publish it as a blog in WA. They are both indexed in google and would be viewed as duplicate content

What is the difference between publishing a post or a blog?

They're placed where I want, but also show up there.
Go look in your widgets (Appearance > Widgets) and check the Footer section(s) for your theme. Some themes have 2, 3, or 4 footer sections. There's a small gray "caret" icon at the top right of these sections that is a toggle. Toggle each of these sections open and see if you can spot where the amazon code is, from the widget perspective.
That would be my first tact.
If that doesn't work, let me know.

p.s. is this for websitewages?
I'm seeing it twice in the footer: once under the heading of Affiliate Marketing for Newbies; and once under the heading of Wealthy Affiliate Review of 2016. Maybe those headers will help you spot the widget holding the duplicate.
Hi Fran yes that is the correct site and I did try what you asked and once I am in the widget section I see nothing that says footer. only the part that lets me put the info for the footer in.
Ken can you either post your theme name (exactly) here, or PM me with it? I'll take a look at how the footer is set up. You know each theme is different.
So, in the widget area, is that where you pasted the Amazon code? Let me know that, too, or anything you can tell me about the name of a section where you pasted it, or where you see it. I have a little test site on siterubix, and will understand the situation once I load up your theme in the AM. :)
Don't worry, we'll get it figured out. Sorry I wasn't in earlier when you posted a reply.

Ken, okay, here's what's happening. Your theme automatically adds your 2 most recent posts to the footer. (I discovered this by looking at the footer.php. There's no user-friendly "setting" for it :)
If there is an image associated with the posts, the theme looks for the thumbnails size of that image in your media library. It then places the thumbnail next to the first 12 words of the article (which I also discovered by looking at the footer.php). This is all automatic.
In this case, at the top of your 2 most recent posts, is an Amazon banner. Now, the banner is actually inside a "frame", which contains a complete HTML page, itself. The Amazon HTML frame and page within your post displays as a banner image. Yea!
BUT... the theme has used the Amazon's banner "frame" for each of the 2 different, recent posts (presumably because it's at the top of each of those posts). That's why you see it in your footer; and that's why you see it twice in your footer—once for each post.
There are two completely different options to correct this:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1) You could move the amazon banners away from the top of each of those posts, and make sure that the first 12 words of each post are exactly what you want to see in the footer (because that is what this theme uses). This should clear up the footer and leave only linked titles and excerpts from your 2 recent posts.
OR
2) You could go into Appearances > Editor, find the Theme footer (footer.php) and delete the one single line of code there that creates the excerpt from your page. This would not affect the title and link to the post. Those would still display, as well as any thumbnail the theme picks up.
If you would like to go route #2, it's very easy. And I have the code ready to paste into a PM to you, Ken. Very easy instructions. Just let me know if this is the effect that you want: linked titles to latest posts, thumbnail image if available; but no excerpts.

Hi Fran yeah number 2 as long as the posts look just the way I did them. Sorry I'm still new to this and thank you so much.
Fran, I deleted it, and it looks great I thank you so much for the help and timely responses. Ken
Fantastic, Ken. My pleasure.
By the way, there's no way you could have known this without looking at that footer.php code, and knowing what you were looking at. It's just one of those things.
If you ever update that particular theme, you'll need to go back in and repeat the process, unless you add that updated footer.php also to a child theme for zeroerror lite. The other alternative is to cross that bridge when you come to it. ;)
Great job, by the way!
