Hello there folks. Ken here writing an early morning blog. I understand the nature of things so I’m going to make this quick and brief. Waking up at 6am, shower, changed, breakfast, it took less than 45 minutes and I eat slow.

Kicking off your day with a solid morning routine can set the tone for the rest of the day. There’s something about waking up early, getting showered, dressed, and grabbing a bite to eat that just feels right. It’s like giving yourself a head start before the rest of the world catches up.

Ken’s morning routine is pretty tight. A 6am wake-up call, a good shower to shake off the sleep, getting dressed, and having breakfast all within 45 minutes. This kind of routine can boost your productivity and mental health. The early wake-up can make you feel more accomplished, giving you extra time to plan and get things done.

There are also mental perks to waking up early. It can reduce stress because you aren’t rushing through your morning, and you have some quiet time to yourself. Imagine starting your day without the chaos. You get those important moments of peace that help set a positive mindset for the day.

So, give it a shot. Try setting an early alarm, make a morning checklist, and stick to it. You might be surprised by how much better you feel starting the day a bit earlier and with a plan.

Totally agree that an early morning can lead to a productive day Ken!!

I need to tend to my pups needs first and foremost (take her out for a run, then come back and cook her food)!

Then it's at least an hour and a half gym time for me (I am still carrying a lot of extra holiday weight here after the summer)

Shower, then breakfast and the rest of the days work is a breeze!!

Take care buddy! :-)

Hi Ken

I have been doing this for as long as I can remember.

When I was working full-time, I got up at 5 am to have some β€œme” time for playing music.

Now that I’m almost fully retired, I get up at 6 am.

I find that the beginning of each new day is best reserved for creative endeavors.

Can't believe you only get up at 6am now to play the guitar Frank!!

Hi Nick

Yeah, but that doesn't include all the times I wake up in the wee hours of the morning to sneak into my music room and play very quietly. Hahaha! πŸ˜‚ 🀣

Rock On! 🀘

I doubt you do anything 'very quietly' in there Frank!!

But as long as you don't wake up Stacy... I am sure all is fine!!!

Hi Nick

Yeah, Stacy would need to have super hearing to notice an unplugged electric guitar being played in another room. 😎

However, I make as much noise as I can whenever I can! Lol πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

I bet you do Frank!

Rock On!

You'd definitely win that bet, Nick! Lol πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜† πŸ˜ƒ

Hi Ken!

Agreed. A good morning routine can set the tone for the day.

Before retirement, I would be up early, spend 45 minutes in my exercise room, and do the other things to be presentable, then bike to work. Those actions always led to a productive day.

Hope your day is a productive one!
