Just open an Adsense account make new ads and copy the code in html or tekst widget in your Wordpress site. I also have written an article about it http://workfromhomecommunity.com/how-to-make-money-with-adsense-in-one-hour/

My niche is Xbox 360 games, & the reason i ask this question is because their is not a lot of independent site that i can get some inspiration from.

Is microsoft devices a good niche or is it to broad ?
That's certainly more focused and there is a ton of opportunity there. I would start by opening up ubersuggest.org and have a look at were searching for. Once you have done that, go into the keyword search tools either Jaaxy or the one here at WA, and see what sort of search volume to get and what sort of competition there is.

Don't forget you can lose an Adsense account in far less than an hour .
