Happy Labor Day to those that have it! For people who usually have work or school, it's a great time for a break.
My thirteenth month at WA has passed, and it's time for me to give a short little recap for what happened over the month as I have done since starting at WA.
Here's last month's post if you need to catch up: Twelfth Month of WA - One Full Year In!
Lots of revelations this month. I've been able to get much more done, become more consistent, and the strategies and paths I want to take my businesses are really starting to kick in.
Progress And Numbers
It's the first time where I can say everything increased!
Social media followers and likes, website traffic, and of course, sales.
Let's start with social media.
The most effective social media and the one that performs the best for me is Instagram. I am the most active on Instagram than any other platform. Instagram also gets me the most amount of traffic as well as people's engagement with my site.
After the giveaway, my Instagram has been increasing with every post. Depending on the post,
I'm getting 50 to 70 new followers as well as an average of 300 likes per post.
Instagram is making up around 10 to 20 people on my site per day out of 100-200 people which isn't that much, but quite a good chunk considering the rest of the social medias I use average 0 to 1 per month.
However, things are changing on the other platforms that I'm using.
Pinterest and Facebook is starting to show a lot more growth. After the giveaway, my Facebook page went from 10 likes to 107 likes and it's getting about 1 new like per week.
Pinterest has had even better growth. It has grown from 8k views per month to 12.9k just recently with a few new followers every week.
Both these social platforms have still been lacking. None of them are providing consistent traffic to my website and the amount of engagement with the sites have been lackluster.

Twitter is the worst out of the 4 social media platforms I am using. It hasn't been dropping or anything, and in fact there has been growth, but it was only because of the giveaway I ran.
So I sit around 38 followers with only 1 to 2 people occasionally liking my post. It is an increase compared to 10 followers and zero people liking my post, but it has not been the most effective marketing strategy for my blog.
I do believe it has to do with the way I'm posting and how I model my posts for each and every one of these platforms.
I'm a bit more knowledgeable about Instagram and understand what kinds of things I can do on the platform to gain more followers, likes, comments, and website clicks, so I will continue to experiment and see what works.
For the other three platforms, it's a little bit of a different story. On Pinterest, I'm only just figuring out that it's more of a visual search engine that anything else, so I will likely need to change how I post regarding targeting low-hanging fruit keywords.
After looking at other people's success with Pinterest, I realize that I also need to be building my own inforgraphics or unique pictures to get people to actually click through the picture into my website link. I will definitely try to work on that a little bit more.

As for Facebook and Twitter, I only have vague ideas. I've heard of people saying to go into other Facebook groups or talk a lot about trending stuff on Twitter, but I haven't actually tried it out yet.
I'll make it my goal for next month to try and experiment with these social sites a little bit more. For now, let's talk about website traffic and sales.
I've been pretty consistent the last 20 days. I was able to get 1 blog post out every single day. I've failed to keep the streak because I missed one post yesterday, but hopefully I'll be able to get 2 done today to make up for it.
I've started to see traffic grow exponentially.
Just about a month ago, I was averaging below 100 people per day. Now it has become the normal sight. Everyday it can be from anywhere between 120-250 people on my website. It's absolutely incredible.
Sales have gone up too. Not to the point of life changing, but to a point where everything is starting to click. This is the moment where the all the skepticism disappears and where I fully believe that the process taught at Wealthy Affiliate works.
Just last month, I received an email from Amazon saying that they have rejected my account for not making enough commissions. And that was my third time creating an Amazon Associates account.
I didn't let myself down though, and I re-applied and relinked everything. It took a long time, but it was worth it.
I now have $4.14 in commissions over the span of about a week and a half. One person bought two products and totalled $77 for some badminton shuttles and another bought a pair of strings that I reviewed for $15. Now I just need one more sale for Amazon to review my sites.
Google Adsense has been performing better too, but it is important to note that I have finally realized how much more you can gain from affiliate commissions. From this month, I average about 10 to 20 cents per day which is much better than the 3 cent average from before, but it totalled out to be around $4 at the end of the month.
Which is the exact same as the commissions which were only running for a week and a half. It's time to put more focus into the selling of actual products rather than stuffing my site with display ads.
Plans and Goals
This progress is incredible. But over the past few weeks, there is something I learned, and it's to not expect that much. Because when you're expecting something to be all glorious, it just hits you so much harder when it doesn't meet the expectations.
So before, I might have been a little too optimistic when planning and making goals. A little bit overambitious without anything to back it up.
This month, I'll keep my goals slow and steady. And I won't include any numbers in terms of traffic or cash.
I will focus on the content I can get out. There are two goals:
- Produce one blog post every day
- Make one video this month
Building out content and consistency is my main goals. I want to be able to build a habit of producing content as that will be the path to success.
Wish me luck and thanks for reading!
