New beginnings
In numerology, 19 is broken down like this: 1 plus 9 equals 10, and 1 plus 0 equals 1, which is the simplest form. Since this is my 19th day, the metaphysical meaning is 1, which means fresh start and new beginnings. Everything in the universe has a meaning; names, numbers, colors, herbs and much more. Last year my company opened a new retail location and I was offered a position there. I was unsure about leaving my secure showroom where I was comfortable and had a good following of customers. How will they know I am at the new location? Will they come to shop with me? Is it a good place for business and will people come to shop? The new building was an old ToysRUs abandoned site since they went bankrupt and had been out of business for 2 years. Remodeling started in June and by August they had a start date of October 12. I use a homemade stamp for correspondence with my customers and I asked my manager what the new address would be so I could have my stamp made up. He said 1055 Woodland Road. Chills went down my spine and I could hear my mother saying, “Go to the new location, Take the job.” So I did and it was a huge success. There was so much business that I finished 2019 with the proud accomplishment of being a million dollar writer. Actually, I sold 1.1 million by the end of the fiscal year on 12/27/2019. What did the number 1055 mean? Well that was the home I grew up in. It was my address for about 25 years. The place where I took my daughter to visit her grandmother; the place where my mother died. The number 1055 had a lot of meaning and was deeply rooted in my life.
DAY 19
I started here at WA on 4/24. Now 2’s and 4’s represent the birthdays of the people I love most. My daughter is born on 2/4, and my husband on 2/24. It also follows that a lot of important events actually fall on these days throughout the years of my life. I found the blog to join here on the night of 4/23. I signed up and created my profile right about midnight, so even though it was Thursday night, I wasn’t a new member until Friday morning. I was so excited about this community and what it offered, I went full steam ahead and signed up for the Premium Membership. Here was a like-minded community that was doing good and willing to help me become successful. Instead of the doom and gloom of the Virus, people were reaching out to cheer me on in my new venture. Each day my network grew and my Rank number went down (Being a million dollar writer I am always paying attention to the Stats). I completed the first two levels of training and today at the end of level 2, Day 19, they talked about being an Ambassador. It was suggested to write a blog about my achievements thus far and to set some goals.
GOAL SETTING
I am no stranger to goal setting and have always considered myself a goal driven person. Before I went on furlough from my retail job due to the virus, I was on track for another stellar year. But now being home a little over 2 months, my goals that I set in the beginning of the year are already out of reach and no one knows what the future will bring when they do open.
Here at WA, I do have control of my life, my goals, my dreams and desires. I have tried several ways to make money on my own through the years, selling products and services to friends and family. But usually after the initial excitement wears off, the business ends up dying due to lack of interest or momentum. A goal is a dream with a deadline and after 19 days, it’s time to get serious about my goals here at Wealthy Affiliates.
WEALTHY AFFILIATES PROGRESS
Like so many people ask on Day 1, What is my Niche? I was stuck too. Kyle reached out right away and said I should focus on something I am passionate about. Well, there were a lot of choices but how do I narrow it down? Mostly anything you try online these days has a lot of competition. My decision was made and I proudly announced I was going to start my first website about jewelry. One of the ladies I had made friends with was an Ambassador and she shared with me it was a good area of expertise but I needed to narrow it down. I hadn’t learned about keywords yet but she suggested maybe to focus on vintage jewelry. The fact of the matter is this; I own a ton of jewelry and could give you a brief description such as diamond ring or pearl necklace. But that’s about it. If you go to my website now, you will hear me get into details about gemstones, where they come from and how they are made into jewelry. Up until joining, I was limited on what I had to say. But each time they said, “Write a Post” I picked a gemstone, and then proceeded to research it and write about it. Scouring the internet looking for pictures of my jewelry or similar pieces. Learning about keywords and watching search results. When I did an article on my rare Andesite Antique Jewelry, the way I worded it the search produced 8 results. Bingo I hit the jackpot!!! Day 15 I ranked in Google! I even went as far as applying for one affiliate program but before they would consider me, I had to put a Meta Tag in my back office. What is that? Oops hadn’t gotten that far in training yet but after looking up tutorials in the main search bar (up until then I hadn’t even figured out how do that) I found out how to add a plugin for headers/footers, and then added their Meta Tag. This allowed them to verify ownership and examine content before getting accepted. Today I was approved by Flex Offers and have access to over 10,000 Affiliate programs to integrate into my website and start making money. As for the community itself, in 19 short days I have made 140 new friends. I have liked, greeted and encouraged people who are newer than I am as well as people who are established here that I consider my mentors. All of this I did to be a part of the community, not for any status or monetary value. I am a firm believer you get what you give, and I am all in here!!!
WA GOALS
All of us start out writing random monetary goals. It is interesting to see how a lot of people would be happy with less and put more time in, and some people write out huge goals but only want to spend much time. I don’t follow everyone, but I do look at who follows me and what their goals and aspirations are. My network includes like-minded individuals who I connect with based on what they have to say an what they are doing. I have enjoyed tutoring and helping others in the past. I realized too late in life I probably would have made a good teacher and had summers off too!!! Alas, I will settle forI teaching and helping others in a way that is best suited for my current lifestyle. Before WA, my goals have always been monetary. However, here, I have changed my focus. My 30 day goal is to have my site up and running with links, gallery, popups, banners and lots of places to click on to go buy things. I would like to have my first sale by then as well but I am not putting a number on it. My 90 day goal is to become Ambassador and to be in the top 200 Ranking. Finally, my financial goal is to have a steady flow of income by 6 months, or 180 days. Also, I have ideas for other websites and after gemsforabeautifulyou.com is up and running, I would li to go to Boot Camp for my new website, Ways to make money at home! Considering we can have up to 25 websites available to build, the sky is the limit. See you in the clouds!!!

What an inspiring article Kerry. It's interesting how your numbers keep popping up when its something important.
I've noticed that the more you recognise and acknowledge this, the more it happens. :)
I think that with all that is happening at the moment, we are all starting to look at things differently and questioning where we are in our lives and where we would like to be.
I read one of your articles on gems the other day and really enjoyed it.
