After being away for four weeks
I found it so hard to catch up on everything, this week I was trying to reconnect, but the week is gone already, and what I have accomplished? almost nothing
Where is my motivation? Gone?
I have been a member at WA for ten months already, almost a year if I want to renew the second year I need to think seriously to have a clear road-map to follow
How will I know where I am going?
Talking to a friend the other day, who suggested to me
Why don't you start with your end goal in mind and then work backward to the beginning to have a clear plan roadmap to follow from start to finish, in that case, you will avoid confusion getting stuck, and feeling lost, you will know better what you are trying to achieve with your business.
I would love to know your thinking about working backward.

Hello Jackie in the hood there is an expression called hustling backwards.That is always given to someone who is always saying what he is going to do but has no idea how to do it.It is a negative expression to demean a person.How can you start at where you want to be? That’s like saying you want to get paid money on something you have not worked for.Its like saying I want to go to Hawaii and you are already there.That makes no sense at all.Starting at where you want to ,your end goal,doesn’t make any sense. I am sure that you think that you haven’t accomplished what you have intended,but I am sure that you are better today then you were when you started your business.Develope a process and follow that process until you reach your goal

You are right on that, I am much better today then when I started my online business ten months ago.
I will break my big goal into smaller easier goals and split into specific targets to simplify the process.

That is an interesting concept, Jacqueline. I have never thought of that, but I guess looking at the "big picture" and then working backward could prove very insightful! Go for it!

I would suggest looking back to the year and write down what you have achieved during the time, note down your motivation in getting into the program and what you have achieved so far, have you moved ahead in achieving your goal??.. what can you do different to achieve it?..wishing you the best
This is a good suggestion, to look back to the year, to make the point, and write out a random list of all the steps and resources that I need to accomplish my goal, I will define my goal as specifically as I can, probably identify the steps and sequence needed to achieve my goals.

no worries there, you have started something this year to change your life, I know it is difficult and sometimes it feels like it is not going anywhere, but if you find a weakness in your strategy go back and go over the lessons again...wishing you the best there..you can do this

I am not sure if that would work for me. I thought I knew my end goal (like most of us to make money) but now I have changed that goal and changing means moving forward. And I think to clarify and identify the end goal is the key. What are we really trying to achieve?
What I have learned over the past two weeks, something that has been taught to us by Kyle, but now has really sunk into my head after listening also to Neil Patel, is, TO REALLY GENUINELY HELP PEOPLE. I believe this is the TRUE answer to success and is our end goal. I would look at really helping people in your writing. Put yourself as the visitor who reads the content on your website. What do you want to read?

You're Welcome. It ain't easy but the doors will open. I remember when I self-taught myself a language by listening to words and asking questions. I got to the stage where I knew so many individual words but I couldn't put them together. Then one day I woke up and I started talking sentences. And I thought to myself, hey I just said a sentence. Where did that come from, then there was no looking back. Same as playing guitar. It eventually falls into place.

That is so true, Dchapman, if we don't know what we don't know our goals are too vague.

Thank you for your comment, Pat, If I use the work backward strategy method to define my goal and identify the steps and sequence I will need to achieve my goals.

I think that is an excellent tactic. There was a discussion here earlier on this subject and I tried to find it but couldn't.
When you think about it you HAVE to know where you're going to be able to use a map to get there.

I have read many times from different 'gurus' the need to reverse engineer your product. The same should be true of your blog. Work from the finished article back to the beginning of whatever you are doing. This gives you the steps you need to make along the way to get to the finished article.
Now, this may not be true for a blog, because that should never truly be finished. No matter what your subject, there are always new ideas springing up.

That is the truth, what you are telling me, Derek, there are always new ideas springing up, well after thinking about my goal setting, I will simply be processing by working backward from a picture end goal to a weekly or perhaps daily task list that gets me closer to my end goal, little by little.
