Can you be productive while multitasking?

Let me just say I am guilty of trying to multitask all the time. So I just finished my third month here at WA and had a post shared with me about the Three Month Barrier. Although I don’t feel like throwing in the towel,I could relate with parts within the post about getting sucked in with all the extra areas in WA and content connected to it. For example; the Live Chat, the social media, the extra posts, google analytics, plus all the affiliate sites and anything else that takes you away from the training and writing posts.

Over the years, I have been told that a person never is able to multitask and be as successful as if they were only focusing on one of those skills. Well, as much as I can see that point, I still insist on doing two or more things at a time, since I hate to waste time. My husband doesn’t even understand why I can’t just watch television without having my laptop on all the while.

I find myself not being as productive as I should because of all the barriers I mentioned above. One of the things that I wish I had more time for is the time to watch Jay’s webinars. So with my new treadmill, I have decided that the best thing to do is to watch his webinars while I am working out on the treadmill. My notes may be a little sloppy as I write key points while I am moving, but I am hearing the webinar and learning while working out.

Today I listened to his Hot Seat webinar and it was amazing how fast my workout went. After an hour of being on the treadmill I had obtained many good ideas to incorporate into my site and had a list of websites to go on and look for examples.

So ultimately multitasking may not be the best option, but it has allowed me to get my workout in and watch an informative webinar.

I am one of those who can only focus on one thing at a time. As a consequence, I only ever try to do one thing at a time.

Well, I bet you do a great job of that one task because you not dividing your attention.

hmm well you seem to find a balance in what you are doing there, focused on one is better then being scattered....wishing you well

I try, but like with everyone and everything, it sometimes goes better than other times.

A sense of balance all around!
