One Month Old.The first blog ever!
Hi everyone. Today is the day that I'm required to write a blog! It's going to take awhile. Hopefully somebody will read this.
I've been at WA for a little over a month now and am at Level 2 Lesson 10. It has been quite the journey thus far. My progress has been slow but sure. Reasons being:
1. My computer skils have been pretty basic but are slowly improving. A lot of training time has been computer related instead of WA related.
2. I have been discouraged twice or should I say frustrated with myself twice so far in the last month. Once when I got to "site feedback" in training and again when I reached the "give and take" Looking at someone elses site and then at mine was embarrassing for myself. Both times I almost gave up In fact there was a whole week in deep thought.
There are more reasons, but I'm hoping to get this done today (currently 10 am)
So needless to say there was a little backtracking and improvements to be made. Thanks to asking a few question and getting good advice within the WA community. Very thankful for that advice and it won't be forgotten.
Right now I'm feeling good again and wanting to move forward.
I have chosen a less popular niche, I think. It is about sleep apnea. The reason is, that I am blessed with it and have been for a number of years.(Around 25yrs) As I move forward in the training and researching the niche, it gets more exciting every day. I think I have learned more in this past month than I have in the past 10 years.
Now my mind is racing and I want to get done training asap. Anybody else experience this? But it won't be this month for me.
I have set some goals so far and like everyone else have some dreams. Old age and past experience is saying take it slow and do it right the first time. I also got the same advice here within the community. One step at a time...Follow the training....And it is good advice!
After a 37 year trucking career, I took time off for family reasons. I continued working within the company as a supervisor very part time. Semi retired maybe but not ready to retire. For the first 6 months I had give a career change a lot of thought so I could keep busy and be available for the family. Furthering my education to train in another field was what I was after.
Most days were sitting at the computer pursuing dead ends. Nothing was happening and it was starting to get concerning. Then somehow I connected with WA and for the first time in a long time I have goals and visions of living some of those dreams as well.
Not sure how long a blog is supposed to be or if I'm even on the right topic. When I started out here I was a man of few words and now I'm thinking that I'm babbling. To those of you that have read this far, thank you and those that haven't, I understand.
Hopefully some of you are experiencing what I am and have had your doubts as well. If I can do this (and will), anyone can. Don't give up! The WA community is like family and always willing to help. Family is important in life.
Six months ago or even 3 months I don't think I knew something like this was possible. Thanks to WA and everyone involved. I am going to bring my "First Blog" to an end...
Enjoy your day
Ken
