Stagnation Versus Prior Focus
Whenever I get a chance to stop by WA I am reminded where I left off and also how it must appear as though I am stagnating on my WA efforts. The truth is I am trying to put to use what I have learned here at WA and at the moment all of my focus is on improving three of my earlier sites I purchased with high hopes. My goal is to make at least one into a consistent money maker before taking on anything else including promoting The WA University.
I have managed to get all three back to a state where they can now be improved upon. These sites all use some great Wordpress plugins and so I am trying to learn how to use these plugins first and understand how they can be manipulated by just changing the settings. But because I am also a programmer and learning php does not intimidate me I want to learn what code is affected by making those changes. Many times it can be a database entry that you can manipulate and you don't have to change the code. Since you can break a Wordpress site very easily by changing one character on one line in just one .php file not changing code can be a good thing.
Some of the people trying to teach you seem to discourage learning php and tell you to just use what's out there and hire a programmer to make any changes you need. That does not work for me but I do accept the fact that there is code already out there I still want to know how it works so that I can change it if I need to.
I am going to work on my WA blog this weekend and if time permits I would like to create some training since I foresee a huge jump in membership very soon and maybe it will help someone. But I have to learn how to do it myself first and WA is, as it has since 2009 helped me get that training.
Later, Ken :)

There is no way to be stagnant here if you are in fact putting what you learn into practice! that is the whole idea. I mean the fact that you can say you have improved not one but three previous sites is great! Just keep on stopping back in and keeping up with where you left on and continue to put stuff into action. Success is cumulative by nature so step at a time!
