75 Day Progress Report
I have been here at Wealthy Affiliate for 75 days now. I would like to share with you all my experiences thus far.
Since I have been here I have learned a lot about site building, content building, building links, and building relationships, keyword searches and keyword rankings along with Seo and site rankings.75 Days ago I knew none of this.
I have been ranked in google 3 times now for different blogs and keywords. A page one ranking, a page 5 ranking and a page 8 ranking. What I have discovered is that the rankings don't always hold. Meaning your spot will move either up or down several times. Jaxxy Lite (our free version) will only tell you if you have a first page ranking. I feel it would be worth it if it's in your budget to upgrade your Jaxxy subscription. Jaxxy is one of the most valuable tools you will ever use in writing and ranking a good article.
In my first 75 day, I have also discovered that this process of building and ranking a website is a lot of work and sales do not always come quickly. In fact, depending on the niche you chose, it may not come at all. If you have built out your website and followed all the processes and yield no results, give it time of course say within a year, move on to another niche.
I have made 3 sales in 75 days and those sales did not come from my site. They came from a recommendation on social media. My total commission for these sales was a huge $2.43 from Amazon. However, Amazon does not pay out for less than $10 worth of commissions in a 30 day period.
I have also learned about woo commerce and it has peaked my interested and I will be working on a commerce site once my original affiliate site is more productive. I can see how woo commerce and affiliate marketing can provide a stream of alternate income for anyone. But do not confuse this with a passive income. Passive income requires no work and building websites and achieving rankings before you can make sales is work. A lot of it.
I now know that all of us have the potential to be successful at this. You must do the work and spend the time to gain any ground. I have wanted to throw in the towel many times over the last 75 days. It is always in the back of my mind, should I quit this or just keep going a little longer to see what happens. I have a "day job" but I am not impressed with it and it does not pay what I need it to. So, since your reading this, I am sure you can guess that my decision so far has been to press on. I work my day job, I do the research, I write my blogs, and continue to try to find time to live my life. I am bordering on exhausted but still I press on searching for the light at the end of the tunnel. I know it is there but the question is how far down the line is it?
I know I am not the only one who has experienced this or feels the doubt and fear on a regular basis. But, you are here and I am here and so we shall press on together. Pushing the fear and doubts aside as we continue to search for the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you Kyle. I feel I have come a long way in my 75 days here at WA. Still striving to reach the light at the end of the tunnel though.
