It seems like EVERYONE has a podcast these days!
From Michelle Obama, to Paris Hilton, to your child's third grade teacher, or even the little old lady down the street... podcasts are popping up everywhere you look.
As if our senses weren't already busy enough multi-tasking while playing on our phones, sifting through social media, driving, working, and more....now our ears get to be part of the action!
There are a lot of reasons why people are partaking in podcasting.
We seem to be busier than ever with life, and so many people have long commutes, or if not, they're working from home these days. Wouldn't we be bored if we didn't have something to listen to?
Podcasts open up a slew of new options for advertisers, and content creators.
If you already have a business and you're looking to grow it, a podcast is a great way to build on that. You can reach an entirely new demographic in podcasting, by providing information to listeners that is both informational, AND entertaining.
Advertisers are very eager to work with this new and ever-growing platform, as well. They're really starting to see the value in placing ads inside of a podcast. There are several specific ways they do this...BUT... I'll tell you all about those, NEXT TIME!

Well, BASIC is exactly the perfect word to describe what is needed for a podcast. You can buy a very inexpensive portable microphone on Amazon or anywhere else to start out. I’ve even seen some people record their podcast on their cell phones. You can get a mic that plugs right into your laptop computer, and there are many free software systems online that you can use to record and upload your podcast. You can get started for I would say as little as $20. With the right content and editing, you can put together a fantastic podcast for very little upfront investment.
Yes!! It's definitely the way to go! Even if you never thought of yourself as a "podcaster" there are so many business benefits to having one! It's fun, whether it's just a hobby or something you would like to take to the next level! Good luck! :-)
