hello wonderful Wealthy Affiliate members from all over this wondrous world. . .

just came across some of Waylon's work and profundity marks it ...

he speaks of 'moments that make our hours . . . and so forth . . .

"It is moments that make our hours, that make our days, that make our months, that make up our lives.”

~Waylon Lewis~non-fiction writer, author of elelphant journal, (Generation X).

all so true . . . and as time marches by . . . we are standing at a seeming pivotal point in time . .

well, that's of how i feel today on this bright, brilliant sunny Sunday . . . clear blue skies that gives us clarity of mind in the sparkling light of the sun's rays splashing over the gentle waves of water . . .

just feeling a wee bit melancholy today, that's all . . .

we just finished having a chat with a friend and neighbour about what our next steps in life might be . . . with all the resources that we have . . . and where to go geographically next . . .

with the entire globe already 'plugged in' does it matter where one is located?

now here's a thought: if you could be anywhere in this world? . . .

where would you choose to be located geographically? . . .

just name it . . .

sure, dream a bit, where would you like to be on this earth to live, to play, to work?

appreciate your ideas, thoughts, comments ...

that's right, if you could be anywhere in this world --

with a mobile online biz -- one could be situated virtually anywhere . . .

so where would that ideal place be for YOU?

Hi, Keisha

I would love to return to Italy at some point. My wife wants to travel on the Orient Express train through Europe, so it’s definitely on our list of things to do.

She is a bit of a mystery freak and she loved the new “Murder On The Orient Express” movie.

The second Hercule Poirot movie in the series, “Death On The Nile,” is coming out this month. She is really excited so we will stream it “early access” on HBO Max.

*** Sounds like it would be a fabulous trip! ... :)) ***

Yeah, It’s definitely on the “bucket list.” 😊

... uhm, bucket lists ... wonder if they actually work? ...

do you think putting things on a bucket list gets done, Frank?

I would say most of the time, no, but it’s something we definitely plan on doing at an currently undefinable date.

Hopefully, well before one of us “kicks the bucket!” 😊

... yes, understood ...

i first heard about 'bucket lists' sometime ago 'last century' ... lol ...

i had some goals that i wanted to get accomplished before too long ... and got it all done ... so now i just tick-tock and do pretty much as i wish ...

do i have a bucket list? ... nope ... because i figure i've experienced pretty much that i need to and now just enjoy myself with my reading, puppy hikes, fresh air, and the freedoms that we have all so taken for granted ... living in the 'free world' so to speak ...
hopefully, some more world travels when all this 'silliness' if i may call it that -- settles out ... or maybe, get a set of wings and just fly!!

I’m pretty fluid in my aspirations at this point and tend to do a lot of things rather impulsively. 😊

... 'impulsively or impetuously?!' ....

well just today -- don't know what got into me -- but instead of turning left ... i changed lanes and went straight ahead ....

thank goodness there wasn't any traffic to the right ... and thank goodness the big bus coming the other way slowed down -- he already saw me and yet decided to turn in ... just to give me some hiccups i guess ...

well, all to say we cleared it and booted home ...

must be a bit out of practice driving as we haven't done much driving these past two years ...

oh well ... all's well that ends well ... at least for another day!!

let's drive safely! ... :))

A little of both, impulsively and impetuously. You know, the musician mentality.😊

I can get lost in my driving, listening to SiriusXM or thinking about various things. I have all the navigation controls constantly turned on - autostop, autoturn, auto everything!

Can't wait for self-driving cars to become the norm. Every car will eventually be on the Internet Of Things SmartGrid and driving will be generally safer.

I have all these 90+ year old patients with significant vision and hearing challenges, not to mention memory problems and slow reflexes. They don't have an adequate family support system, so giving up their license would put them in an assisted living or nursing home.

My mother had a tremendous support system but was too independent and proud a woman to give up driving. She lived with my sister and they with us when she started requiring frequent doctor visits.

We were happy to drive anywhere and I always went to her medical appointments and then took her for a nice lunch.

I'm hoping self-driving cars will be perfected by the time I'm old enough to be a bonafide driving-disaster. 😊

uhm ... self-driving cars? ... dunno ... self-driving anything would require the ultimate in safety rules, yes? ...

i think the litmus test would be whether the auto insurance industry would offer insurance for 'self-driving vehicles? ... would you have heard of whether they do or not? ...

well, stay safe driving, ok? ... cheerio ... :))

Hi, Keisha

The IOT will have a special channel for autonomous vehicles to communicate with a central networks and among each other called the Internet of Vehicles (IOV).

I PMed you two papers you might find interesting.

One from the 2014 IEEE World Forum on Internet of Things (WF-IoT).
The second on Distributed Real-Time IoT for Autonomous Vehicles, which deals with informational delay requirements, challenges, and solutions.

God only knows what insurance companies are going to do, but this tech is definitely coming. 😊

If anyone else reading this post is interested, let me know and I will be happy to PM you the links to the references.

Frank

ok, super, Frank ... always interested in new stuff ...

will check it out ... thanks kindly ... :))

You bet! 😊

An interesting question my dear friend...

Having traveled around a bit in my time, would I like to settle down for good in somewhere I have already visited??🤔

Maybe on a nice quiet tropical beach in Brazil...

But I have always wanted to get to Hawaii, The Seychelles and many tropical spots in the Pacific..

Would I prefer any of them more? Quite possibly.. but who really knows until we get there!

But I do not see my long term future here in France though. (Sorry Bux!)

Let's see what happens as the rollercoaster of life moves on...

Where would your idyllic little spot be Keisha??🤔

🌍🤗

yes, the South Pacific is of interest for me -- have yet to get there though ... it's a very long, long way to go ...

and love the Mediterranean, too ...

yes, where the sun is mild and welcoming ... :))

The South Pacific is a long way to travel to.. but if it is to be ones idyllic little place to settle down in, then it would be a journey worth taking in my opinion!!

I also love and have my favourite little spots along the Med... any place the sun is not too hot but welcoming is a great place to be in my book dear friend...🌞🥩🍷

yes, i guess most of us need that similar climate! ...

ah well, make 'home sweet home' wherever one is at the time ...

would love to get travelling again ... either land, sea, or air ...

gotta get goin'!!! ... lol ...

Absolutely Keisha.. home sweet home is always where we currently are...

But I could definitely switch to a new home sweet home right about now..!🤗

ah yes, the proverbial query of 'where to ... ?' ....

Indeed dear friend...??...

you mean 'where to? ... correct? ... may the answer arrive in a clear, understandable form ... lol ...

I love traveling and actually have a few trips in my head when I'm able to do them. I guess I'll go with a place I haven't been to yet--Bangladesh 😊 I have a FB friend who's invited me to visit him there, and I'm really looking forward to experiencing a very different culture!

Margaret

*** yes, indeed, that would be a very different culture to experience, Margaret! ...

i recall my visit to India which is next door to Bangladesh, i think ... experience was totally amazing -- culture shocked, food shocked, customs shocked, climate shocked ... the works! ... it was like being on another planet ... really! ... and yet, it was one of the most beautiful trips ever in terms of discovery and receiving love and awesome hospitality never ever seen before in north America ...

suggest, before you go over ... encourage you to pick up some of the language so that you can get around better ... and for sure, research, laws & customs, clothing, et al ...

enjoy it all ... and thanks kindly for your sharing -- appreciate it! ... cheerio .... :)) ***

Thank you for your advice, Miss Keisha. I'm taking note of it and will hopefully be able to *do* it 😊

yes, it'll be a very, very different experience altogether ....

although i did do a ton of research before going ... it only helped a very wee bit ....

travel is one of the best educators ever ... a tremendous one!! ...

for sure: language, food, water quality, health, pack small gifts & thank you cards for your hosts ... you'll soon realize once you're there ... that even a small pack of paper or pens or notepads are a premium ... and even tissue paper ... we take so much for granted living here in the privileged world ...

and sure -- ask questions of anyone who's already been to the place(s) you want to visit to get a better idea of what to expect ...

there's a few other things ... i'll send u a pm ....

Thank you, ma'am--most appreciated 💖

And yes, travel is one of the most valuable educators ever!

... for sure ... i feel i need to be nomadic soon ... cheerio ... :))

I'm happy where I am, in a friendly small town in the mountains of New Mexico. But I'd like to spend some time in Uruguay and see if I 'd like to live there.

*** Sounds like a wonderful idea, Rosana!

The Southern Hemisphere beckons you ... and indeed, a good escape from the cold winters of the Northern Hemisphere ...

appreciate you popping by here today ... thanks kindly ... :)) ***

I would be where I am now. I enjoy my home, family and friends. I will visit other places but always return home.
Jerry

*** ah yes, home sweet home! ... nothing like it, is there, Jerry? ...

keep well, keep happy! ... all the very best .... :)) ***
